The Snow begins to fall...

The Lone Wolf Heads Out!
This is Luke's latest Winter Overnight Adventure.
After receiving countless messages from viewers about supporting the channel through Amazon, I have begun using Amazon Affiliate links in the Adventure Videos and if you choose to purchase one of these products via these links I will receive a small commission which will help fund future honest reviews and adventures.
The channel remains as it always was, 100% Agenda Free with no sponsored videos, no paid reviews, and I don't care if you purchase these products or not; you won't find affiliate links in review videos only in adventures.
I'm going to do my best to put gear lists into all of my videos since everyone is asking for them all the time.
For this trip, here are the big items that I used.

You keep mentioning the use of common sense! I don't know if you realize this but common sense isn't easy to come by in today's generation 🙄

I'm 5 years behind the making of this video. Why watch it? Because you make photogenic, fascinating videos that feel like a way to live vicariously thru your camera lens. And you seldom fail to please. Thanks Luke for taking us along.

As someone who's done winter training in the Norwegian army; there's no exception to the "no sweat" theory. In - 35c when moving we would dress down to just our netting underneath our uniforms. As long as there's no heavy downfall or heavy winds you could basically move around with just your baselayer.

Being a "Weatherman" is one of the best occupations you can have. It's the only one where you can be "wrong" 95% of the time without being fired.

I have spent 5 years over seas -- 3 years in Afghanistan and 2 years in South Sudan Africa -- I was honestly BURNED OUT of " "ROUGHING IT" But in the last few days I have watched you and others camping and I am regained some motivation to plan a trip. The bad thing for me is I cant simply just go hiking up a mountain -- I live in Indiana and where I live I will have to take a day trip of driving to get to a decent location to start my trek.

That was a rough hike and you did so much retracing your steps to set up the camera for us that we really don't know how much extra walking you had to do to make this video....thanks for that extra effort!

Dang, You could develop black-n-white film inside that tent.

I went over Whitetop in a late season blizzard while on my thru attempt of the Appalachian Trail. Nothing to not take seriously. That mountain can be wicked.

Hello, Luke! I enjoy watching TOGR. You’re knowledge is wisdom . You’re the real deal. You and your wife, Susie, are not just “fair weather outdoor enthusiasts”. That is what I first noticed. You have a warm, likeable personality, intelligent sensibility, down to earth good common sense and a clean sense of humor. Just wanted to tell you, how you are helping people know how to have a safe and good outdoor experience. Thanks, Strength & Honor!

At first I thought rocks in lieu of pegs wouldn’t work in that wind. Obviously worked well, and with all that ice and snow the next morning, handling rocks would be preferable to handling pegs!! Great idea!

Fun video. Great quality editing and filming. Small Note: The eating snow aspect; the reason people say you should not is for 2 reasons 1) older snow can carry bacteria (new snow is generally okay) and 2) it will harm your mouth

I LOVE this narrator(?!??); he IS do positive...and seemingly endlessly energetic!! ALL THE TIME, which is amazing (and, good). I ALSO get to experience the woods, plus physical exhertion, which i DO ENJOY (and don't experience much now); so, watching his videos exhilerate me: THANKS!! 😃🙃👣

I definitely believe that, if you go out into a blizzard and it being so cold you should have good skills in knowing what your doing. I think it also goes for camping in extreme heat.

Nothing to do but relax and eat and maybe a nice nap..:)...At least I would..I'm older and love naps...!!!..Also lower profile 3 or 4 season tents can withstand almost any weather..I toured out west for 35 years on motorcycles and camped out 95% of the time..I have seen it all weather wise..The main thing I learned is to stay dry and pack plenty of food..That way if you get stuck somewhere you can manage..Sometimes i would camp up at mountain passes and this was well before cell phones so sometimes you would get stuck in a storm for a day or two..I accepted everything Mother Nature through at me and never had an issue..I loved every minute of those challenges..:).
