Two redneck boys, Bobby and Billy-Ray, are trying to make some money...
They decide to hunt some rabbits and sell them to people to eat.
So, they get their hunting dogs and go rabbit hunting...
While they are hunting, Billy-Ray hears a train whistle in the distance.
It's the Fireball Express freight train hauling important, crucial supplies down to the Supply Depot for the military base in the area...
Billy-Ray grabs his lantern and begins running toward the tracks to head off the train.
When he gets to the tracks, he wraps a red bandana around his lantern, so it shows bright red...
He straddles the tracks and frantically waves his lamp.
The engineers on the train see the red lamp and they struggle to put on the emergency brakes to stop the speeding, 100-car supply filled train.
The engineer grinds to a halt, jumps off the train and starts running towards Billy-Ray...
Nearly out of breath, he asks Billy-Ray, "Son, what's the emergency here? Why did you flag us down?"
Billy-Ray says, "I just wanted to see if you wanted to buy a rabbit."
The engineer is fuming!
He yells, "You idiot! You mean to tell me that you stopped a high-speed, 100-car freight train to ask us if we wanted to buy a rabbit?!"
Billy-Ray replies, "No sir... "
"We ain't caught one yet, I'm just gettin' orders."

Well, ah caint complain, bein' one of them thar railroad nuts, he did stop the train the correct way...........without gettin' his arse runned over by it. But i imagine Bugs Bunny heard all that ruckus and is hiding deeeep underground!

As the great granddaughter, granddaughter. Daughter niece cousin of railway men I would be wondering just how safe everyone would be . Given the state of the tracks today. Back mumble years ago when the world and I were younger than I am now the CPR railroad company had three men for every mile of track making sure the spikes were doing their job and checking the state of the railbed. In 2015 their were over a thousand derailments in the US. Three hundred and twenty one in 🇨🇦 in 2021 that's all Alexa would tell me😮

Sooooo, youre family men were railroaders? WOW!, its the same with mine, i had 4th/5th cousins that worked for two different rail lines in Illinois, my grampa on my dads side was a trolley car motorman in Ohio, and my younger son in law is an engineer for a railroad in Iowa. My dad & i missed out on railroad jobs, because of hearing and vision issues, but i have a large miniature railroad collection to make up for it.

And its not necessarily the track that causes derailments, for some time now, the rail lines have been using whats called PSR, or Precision Scheduled Railroading, they try to keep on a tight schedule, at maximum speed with as little maintenance as possible on the railcars. That leads to less lubricant in the axle bearings, then they heat up, and literally disintegrate going down the track. Thats exactly what happened to cause the big derailment in Ohio last year.
