it’s so funny to me how blindfolding animals is often used as a tool to calm them down and make them feel safer. like imagine you go to the dentist and they immediately just throw a hood over head lol

It’s still their instincts kicking in. Almost every animals have the ability to still function normally while they are asleep or sedated.

Crocs have a large bite force when biting down, but have very weak jaws so it doesn’t take a lot of effort to keep their jaws open

It isn't impossible, but it is far more dangerous for reptiles than it is for mammals. And given Elvis's large size it might not even work and just make him angrier.
