Well, DRS works for everyone and not just him. Early overtakes would have taken more time since midfield drivers were mostly close to each other.

Yes in terms of points, but in terms of pure talent and racing ability, Bottas is behind Lewis, Sebastian, Max, Charles, Daniel and maybe even Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez too.

He started with Merc in 2017, being really good at some tracks but not doin' so hot at a lot of others. In 2018 he does better, but leaves about half the calendar full of weak tracks and equally weak performances. In 2019 he fixes many of those as well, challenging for the title. However, he hasn't quite figured out the European tracks yet, which is where Hamilton comes into his own. He's been making steady progress. He might sneak up on us big time. The WDC we didn't see coming.

Still a good drive but p20 to p4 is exactly the same as Carlos in Brazil (before penalties) qualifying mode for most of the race with a fresh engine in the championship winning car doing it isn’t as impressive as Carlos (who got a bit lucky) and needed to still preserve his engine for a crack at p6 in the championship
