My grown daughter called me crying like someone stole her bike. I told her to come over and just be. Come and get some of this parental love. She did and we both needed it. I am by the way her other mother and she has me to speak in a way that she cannot speak to her mom. What a blessing. I love all of my grown children and have changed the way I was raised. You are wonderful to help your family. You are a good man. I did the same for my adults children. My son and daughter to live me cause they had medical conditions. They both died one died April 25, 2018 and the other one died July 15, 2018 so I had to buried two of my kids within 80 days. I did my best. Not only I took care my mother for 10 years, Nov 14, 2006 to she died in my living room Dec 6, 2016. I had 3 to take care of. It was hard but I make it. They was gone within 19 months. 3 funeral.. But the Grace of God I'm Happy to be there for them. Also take two grandkids to and from school. Now one 19 and other 16. So I been blessed to still be here. Thanks again Willie.... You good person. I stayed at home with my parents until I purchased my first rental property at 26. Which led me to purchase my 2nd rental property at 31. I'm 53 and never rented an apartment. I've always been a landlord. I'm grateful that my parents encouraged me to stay home. I stayed home for college and didn't have student loans as an undergrad. My brother moved back home and is a Principal. He's saving to purchase his new home in cash. No financing. Folks gon' learn the smart game and not the grown game with their kids.

InMy daughter is 37 yrs old, she works from home and has been with me for almost 3 yrs and it sure doesn't bother me at all. I love her staying here with me. But I told her that as long she doesn't bring her boyfriend or her friends, she can stay as long as she wants to. She had an apartment and was paying a lot just to sleep at night and it wasn't worth it so I told her to move in with me. She's a really good girl.

I'm 50 now and I've been on my own since I was 13. I was adopted in a family and town that turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the youth, churches and all!. All of my adopted brothers (4) either went to prison or they are dead; and they all had the same mom that adopted me. I was blessed and I'm currently living in Asia where family is paramount, it's normal for some Asians to never leave home. We as Americans and especially African Americans have it all wrong. We need to be loving our children as if our tomorrow as parents depends on it. What I've seen as a homeless teenager leave me not to wonder why we have so many young shooters on these streets. People just having kids with absolutely no thought as to how to give them the love they never had. For love to be free it sure is in short supply.
