Just as a meme... You should put this in your game as a reward for some ridiculously difficult challenge and can't be bought, and despite it looking goofy it will garner respect and desire from the playerbase because it requires work and not a credit card, like the good old days of game cosmetics.

you're only paying 5k if the skin is exceedingly rare/has artificial scarcity, it'd prob be 20 bucks or something if you got your hands on them when they first came out. give it 10 years _if_ it's a skin no longer accessible or requires purchase of a case that's no longer in circulation- _then_ it's 5k. maybe slap on some Titan holos for good measure to boost up that price lol

I have an idea for in-game cosmetics for your game. Something like the players can make in-game skins, use it, and sell it. With these if there is a certain skin so good people really want it and it's made by a specific player (who specialized on skin making that is well known to the community) people would buy it and it would create a rarity for an item. Then you can take a percentage when it got sold in the market. I don't know just something that comes in my mind while watching this video. I don't know if it would be great as well but kudos to you and good luck for everything.
@mikkelchristensen6716Рік тому

The video title actually reminded me of one of my favorite ways gun skins have been used in a game. In Phantom Forces, (yes, the roblox game) certain skins actually allow you to modify the color, material and opacity of the skin itself. This allows players to create skins that are unique to them. It's always cool to see the different gun skins people make for themselves. This level of customization has actually been around for a while in racing games like need for speed and trackmania. I just wish more shooters would enable this kind of in depth skin customization.

honestly w/ the simplistic art style you're going for, having a system where you can apply unlockable stickers to you guns w/ whatever scaling and rotation you want, wherever you want them, would be a p. cool way to let players customize their loadout hell, going the extra mile and letting 'em change the colors of the guns' "palette," and maybe even apply color-customizable patterns to those areas, would really let 'em go wild and whip up some goofy-looking monstrosities that nonetheless express their aesthetic to a t without having to learn how to actually create textures themselves plus keeping the stickers and patterns limited to an curated selection means you'll only have to worry about people making vaguely phallic shapes out of the stickers, rather than having to deal w/ stopping people from texturing their stuff with straight-up dick pics

Can you make another short video tutorial but on how to start creating weapon models for indie games? I think it would be useful for devs who'd like to start modeling, since you have a good understanding on how to create weapon models in a game and you have the ability to explain things in a simple but complete way (also I think that in your public there must be a good percentage of devs looking for help in their game). Badically my suggestion is that you'd make a short video showing the basics on the creation of models, and then, if the video goes successfull, you'd make more in-depth videos in the future on how to make models that work in a game. I'm sure that many devs watching you would appreciate this, because you'd give them your very personal insight on how you'd like your weapon models to be made. You could even inspire more people to start creating games and create models.

Jokes aside, you know what was really cool? Quite literally being able to make your own skins. Well, at least being able to reach a similar level of customization in games. That's what I really mean. The most classic example I can think of would be something like Halo Reach. And yes I know the whole spartan is just a solid color, but the level of customization with each armor piece was pretty awesome. As for a more modern example (which are exceedingly rare nowadays), I think the level of customization in For Honor is also done very well. While it is just sticking prefab color patterns with prefab armor pieces with prefab paint patterns, it is still remarkable how much detail you can get out of it. I should also note that For Honor is a very, VERY reasonably monetized game, with only a battlepass and in-game currency as worthwhile microtransactions. There might be a link to be made there...
