I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet so I am not sure what they go through so please forgive me if I repeat something they do. But as a Christian, I see atheists the same way you described Christians. I do not see a way, nor have I heard a way, for the creation of the universe without the existence of a higher creator.

@@magnusTheRed312 The first obvious rebuttal is that just because *you* can't see a way doesn't mean there isn't one..I think you'd have to concede that. Secondly, we don't actually know if the Universe "came into" existence in the first place, nor even if it did what would be required to make that happen, so applying human level intuition to a cause for such a scenario is pretty much redundant.

@@sierrabianca Yes I completely agree that just because I cannot see a way that it means that there is none. However, I have debated with a few other people who had proven themselves to be very intelligent and, together the best alternative we came up with was a mindless creator which even still made very little sense. Secondly, while we can't be sure that there was a beginning of the universe as we were obviously not present, there are things that point to it. If I remember correctly, and please correct me if I am wrong, but we have a size for the observable universe as well as a rate of expansion. And because there is no resistance in space to slow objects, we can assume that they have been moving at the same speed since the beginning of time. This gives us a rough beginning. Finally, my biggest problem is with the laws of conservation of mass and energy as well as what a reaction is. Whatever could have created the universe would either have to be outside of it, such as a god, or follow it's rules, such as the big bang which is taught as the beginning in schools. But the big bang could not have created mass to throw into the universe, nor could it have created the energy out of nowhere to propel it. Also, as an explosion (a reaction) it requires an action. It is fair to say that everything in the observable universe is a reaction, meaning that everything is happening because of a string of past events. I would be very happy to continue debating you on this as I do personally enjoy it and truly believe in what I am arguing. But if not, I hope to have changed your mind that the Bible, and Christianity, cannot simply be disproven or brushed off of if taken seriously. Thank you though for responding to me though as many people just aren't willing to challenge their beliefs, even in something as important as this.
