Carlos Ghosn, chairman and CEO, Nissan-Renault Alliance, has the distinction of running two major global automakers, Nissan and Renault, with headquarters on two continents. He is no stranger to the global lifestyle, having been born to Lebanese parents, but growing up in Brazil, before spending much of his early career in the United States. In this talk, he discusses the different challenges each company faces, and how he adapts his leadership to the strategic and cultural contexts. He also discusses trends in the global auto market, and his vision for zero emission vehicles (electric), which he believes will represent an important (and profitable) market segment in the coming decade.
