@@vyl4650 you joke but wood quality has gone down over the past few years. Most of the old trees have been cut down and replaced and the newer ones are younger making the wood weaker. Old wood planks go for more money then new ones for of the same wood.

@@vyl4650 younger wood is more supple and elastic, older wood is more ridgid.

@@vyl4650 It has to do with how trees grow. As they grow older and create more rings around their core, those rings and layers provide a denser and harder wood throughout. At least that's what I've been lead to believe.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ve heard similarly, I try to block them/delete them when I get comments like that. Also, my history channel would have no research but plenty of good recycled costumes.

Everything is always improvised! Almost every film on my channel starts with the beginnings of a basic concept, character or style and the rest is made up as it’s filmed. For this one I knew I wanted to do something historical but didn’t know what, so I grabbed the costumes and camera and Trent knew of this field and we began walking there. By the time we got there we had the idea for the start and then the rest comes about while we film. It’s such an exciting process cause there are no expectations, just discovery, bullshitting and cracking each other up. Happy to hear you enjoy!
