This is exactly the type of tool storage i like for stuff like this. Easy access well done. A couple of things if i may: 1- On the top tray extend a bit and add a cover plate just attached to that edge with a handle/drawer pull or a cut for the hand. 2- Bottom (or any other that it may be useful) tray make it removable 30mm from column forward, just a fall in place slab with holes and maybe some magnet tape on the pull out shelf side and the metal on the tray itself. So it can be brought up to the top. Its been done before but not combined with this system. 3- I would have used thick PVC pipe for the separator rings/tubes, just because of wear and make maintenance easier, and maybe some threadded rod for the column. Cool idea! I would humbly advise different slides though. Those flat ball bearing slides will get gummed up quick will sawdust. Also if you could use the rockers from a lazy Susan on that dowel, that thing would be the 50's Cadillac of router tables. We'll done! 👍 Wish I had some down time for stuff like this.
