He turned down a $50 million deal and basically went dark (very randomly did small sets in random comedy clubs like the laugh factory) till recently.

You know what we love about Jimmy? By the way, "we" here means black people. Tonight is my turn to speak for us. What we love about Jimmy Fallon is that he is one of those successful white guys who is not afraid to show how much he is a fan of a lot of black superstars. He is who he is, and he makes no apology for it. "I love these guys," he often finds himself thinking to himself. He also pays homage. He appreciates African-American talent. He kept the Roots working. A steady paycheck. He is now reminding us who Dave Chappelle is. He grew up on these talents. He's not gonna forget them. Now, that's a honest talk show host. Jimmy keeps it real and we, too, appreciate him for that. He has a lot of black fans!

LaDarius Bradley You don't have to be THAT funny to be a host. You have to be likable and easy going for the most part. I rather see a humble, all smiles guy that makes his guests comfortable than a cocky, "funny" guy that only want to upstage his guests by making jokes. And Jimmy never "Thirsts" over his female guests, now that is very rare amongst the male hosts.

He does come across as arrogant, but he just truly believes in what he's doing and whilst he may go overboard a little, I think you need an attitude like that to be successful. There are about 4-5 real PPV draws in boxing...Floyd wasn't one until he fought De La Hoya and changed from Pretty Boy to Money.... I had no idea that was how the first season of the Chappelle show "picked" the musical guests. But the list he gave was exactly THAT! I just thought he had a bunch of extremely talented musicians, I didn't know that they were linked like that.
