I've always been a bit of a workaholic. I've been better about it lately, but I still get down on myself for lazy days. I made this video to remind myself it's okay to take it easy.

I like it when joel does characters that don't require him to change his voice much.

Dinglemire is wise. Work and rest is a balance... He understands that some days lying face-down on a rock and screaming is good enough.

Him telling Bogmire not to attack and to not get hurt was so weirdly wholesome.

At last, Joel Haver portrays his most difficult character: himself.

I'm touched by Dinglemire's concern for his best friend, Bogmore. Friendship is a beautiful thing.

"...like any other day. I woke up, laying face down on a rock. And I screamed for 20 minutes..." I can absolutely relate to this.

I showed this to my fiancé telling her she might be able to relate to Dinglemires' message and it made her break into tears because of how much she needed to hear it from someone other than me. Thank you Joel Haver, I don't get to see her cry for good things very often.

Joel's running joke of evil characters suddenly feeling empathy will never get old, it's just so endearing seeing an evil looking character act really considerate lol

We should all remember to take a Dinglemire day every once in a while

Something about the mental imagery of Joel filming himself power squatting on-top of a chair while saying to the camera "I'm not so good" in a goblin voice is a strong vibe

"You'll get hurt. Don't get hurt." "Okay." -- Even when he's not feeling his best, Dinglemire is still the best of all of us.

Bogmore is a good friend. He sees that Dinglemire is having an off day and instead of pushing him to do it anyways, he lets Dinglemire relax and doesn't push too hard.

The players in my DnD campaign are gonna be really confused when this is the approach every monster takes from now on.

Words cannot describe how hard I started laughing the moment he laid down and started screaming. The emotion. The catharsis. It was amazing.

I like how Dinglemire’s idea of being extremely busy is attacking people and stabbing them.

Dinglemire and Bogmore Wetland Friends Forever! Fyi: A mire is any wetland that grows peat. A bog is a peat growing wetland that is higher than surrounding areas and receives its water from precipitation as opposed to flooding. A bog is considered an ombrogenous mire. So… when our main man dinglemire shows us how he screams, it echos perfectly. Joel, you are too good at everything film related. This one’s sound design is top-notch.

This is actually kind of sweet. The fact that they aren't feeling themselves but still looking out for their friend despite that. Kinda heartwarming

Sometimes I like to imagine that during these skits Joel actually IS half naked with a piece of carpet stapled to his chest to really help him get into character and with the tracing later.

Dinglemire is a kind and gentle spirit. He doesn't want his friend to get hurt. Truly a good soul.

I like to think these type characters Joel does comes from him letting his goblin out... and someone walking in the room. Then he had to think fast, said it was for a skit he was working on, badda bing, rest is history.

The echo on the scream at 0:37 just hit so right.

The emotional vulnerability Joel displays through his characters is crazy. Every other video he puts out is almost like permission or some sort of reminder that not only is it ok to feel the way you feel, but it's ok to talk about it as well.

It was something about Dinglemire telling Bogmore to not get hurt that really touched my feels.

I was gonna say I like their shorts but then I realized the "shorts" are the same texture as their chest hair which can only mean they're not actually wearing anything at all.

Remember not to be too hard on yourself. Sometimes it's okay to just lay face down in a bog and scream intermittently.

I feel really bad now! Last night, during our D&D session, we slew a whole bunch of goblins. We will never know their stories. Their hardships or their victories. We never asked them how they were feeling. Though, they were charging a fortified position, so it is kind of their fault

I watch this every morning, it's weird but it actually motivates me to get up and do my daily routine, other days I'm like Dinglemire, I just didn't feel like doing anything, he's right, sometimes it's good to just do nothing

I love how this feels like a parallel universe were Trent and Joel are goblins/anything but still best friends in every reality. Dinglemire having trouble in his depression while still caring for the safety of Bogmore is priceless, and Bogmore too, wanted to attack travelers to entertain Dinglemire for just a few minutes. I love how the guys are so iconic you tell who is acting as which character no matter how they are drawn.

This is one of those videos that really show how brilliant Joel is at creating a character. Because Dinglemire is adorable, and I feel genuinely sad that he’s feeling down. But at the same time, his voice made me want to pierce my own eardrums with a fork. The voice came first but the character still won me over. He can make the totally ridiculous believable and sympathetic and it’s great. Plus he’s hilarious too. That helps!

Despite saying ‘he hadn’t done much today’ he talked his friend out of attacking a group of travellers alone to prevent him from getting hurt. He saved his friends life without acknowledging it. Hes doing a great job. Sometimes just being present is enough.
