Who titled this podcast? There is very little diet advise compared to other information. I was unable to finish the podcast to see if there were any gems in the end. He glorified his own experiences with mind altering drugs which are a gamble at best and not associated at all with the indicated topic.

I am so glad to see an up-and-coming, rising star of this particular genre giving props to Dr. Weil. Dr. Weil is responsible for educating my generation (brought up on pop-tarts for breakfast, smoking being permissible in restaurants, and watching the 6 o'clock news while eating KFC or grilled hot dogs for dinner) on all things mind-body-spirit. I attribute my health journey kicking off with 8 Weeks to Optimum Health and I can still recall the day I saw it on the table in a bookstore in the mall and purchased it. It changed my life.Dr. Weil is one of the greatest thought leaders of my generation.

@gardenbun

@@marshawalker5273 I've wondered about that, too. However, he's always been the same body type, from what I can tell. Just like some people are 'skinny-fat' I think some can be 'healthy-fat' too. I think of Oprah when I think of this category. She seems to have adopted a healthy lifestyle but her genetic predisposition seems to allow her to carry more weight but she has indicated when she shares her health journey with us that all her HRV/cholesterol/BP/bone density markers are on point.

Thank you for having Dr. Weil on your podcast, he is simply the best. One day he will be revered and celebrated (in due time all will be revealed & understood) like so many that came before him. Ignaz Semmelweis was a physician and scientist who figured out that doctors could decrease the number of deaths, infections just by washing their hands. His simple idea could have saved countless lives, but he was largely ignored and laughed at. Dr. Weil is a genius, I wish all doctors were trained in naturopathic medicine. What a wonderful and healthy world it would be.

I shared the same feeling of inter-connectedness Dr. Andrew described, from doing half doses of mescaline, psilocybin, and peyote in my college years in the Pacific Northwest. We picked psilocybin mushrooms at dawn, which grew in ‘fairy rings’ in areas with rich soil, like cow pastures. We’d make tea and walk for hours in the forest, feeling awe and connection with all of nature. I’m a lightweight so instinctively took less than others, which worked well for me. The experiences opened my mind and spurred creativity, set me on a lifelong path, and formed a core spirituality of reverence for nature and the Universal Energy. I became a professional artist, animal advocate, Master Gardener, and vegetarian/ vegan/ pescatarian for over 50 years. I could go on about my incredible experiences! I haven’t felt a need to use these substances anymore, as I learned what they had to teach me, which was transformative!

I’ve followed Dr. Weil now for about 30 years. I appreciate a lot of what he says. I feel his casual response to drug use to be a bit alarming. There are some really toxic drugs out there that cannot be used responsibly. Crack cocaine, meth, heroin to name a few. This is coming from a place of being a Holistic Nutrition Educator who also worked with those with active addictions, in recovery, and also grew up around addicts. I think Weil could’ve been more responsible with his comments. Yes, broccoli is a super vegetable but it’s also not good for people with low iodine or those with thyroid problems. Weil gives great information, but he also needs to add in some disclaimers with his comments. Just my thoughts.

I saw Dr Weil at a conference in Tucson many years ago and was very influenced to become more health conscious. One thing that really makes me angry is how expensive health items are. I used to consume ground hemp powder in organic juice and hemp oil daily. I can no longer afford to do this as I can barely afford to feed my family. Looking at the cost of matcha is the same. Very expensive. I guess vibrant health is mainly for those that can afford it.

Great show with Dr Weil. I’ve collared him since the 80’s. A great , heart and soul. He is correct about the importance of psychedelics use in healing.

Great to hear among other things the effect of the Mind on the body I'm a Mind/Body Connection speaker and I keep myself healthy and happy with this. In another podcast you enquired about Trance Channeling and I would like to recommend Jane Roberts book called Seth Speaks and my other favourite is Debbie Shapiro Your Body Speaks Your Mind. It's great to have Indian role models growing up in the 70 I had only access to Indian Gurus which saw me right I'm not complaining. It's great listening to your podcast 👌

I followed him back in the day and still have some of his books 📚, that I run across. I’m glad to see him still around and pretty much look the same! My main three oils are organic extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil and MTC oil and Avocado 🥑 oil all cold pressed. I do real butter and ghee too. 😊👍🏽😊👍🏽😊

An excellent podcast. It made a great connect with Dr. Weil I never expected and his spiritual dimension. I have some new products to consider instead of coffee. The clarity on drugs is especially helpful. I hope you have more webcasts together.💥❤

Being slim is not a synonym of being healthy. He has never stressed on weight issue in his teachings, and this is the most amazing thing!! You may be chubby and still age healthily. He is a living proof of it. Your comment makes me think that you are a bitter person - and it´s not an emotion that will help you age healthily... I guess the latter is what you are looking for in here.

I'm so happy to have "accidently" found you with DR Weil. Recently, I have arthritis in my knee so that I sometimes need a cane. At 76, I am very healthy and active, so this is very upsetting. I have been thinking about Dr. Weil's guidance for weeks. Thank you. 😊

Interesting about the allergies being unlearned. I'm sure psychology can play a part in making the reaction worse. I have had allergic reactions without even thinking about them, or unaware I was allergic to the substance. Because of this I don't think allergies are purely psychological but I will try to relax through my next allergic reaction and see how much that helps.
