I tried a lotus board with a few modules. I actually can solder decently since I was 7. But prototyping something using grove ports is really nice. Just plug it in and code. I really like this. Also these modules and parts aren't expensive. I also tried some cheap things from amazon, also works, but more hassle. Every module has a support page with examples and all documentation. Great work. I actually bought it to experiment with the pressure sensor and emg sensor, for a friend of mine that has a muscular disease. I had the pressure sensor working in about 5 minutes. Brought it to him to day, with a relay board and some cables. He could finally have a button that can set the sensitivity. Still need to make a housing and program so he can adjust it with some buttons. But the first test worked great. The muscle sensor needs some more testing, as I didn't yet find the right placing of the electrodes. (it also seems emg is a bit more complex then just reading a voltage) I didn't get this kit yet. Looks cool. Also saw it actually works without even plugging in the cables. That would be great as a gift for me, because the other lotus I will give to my friend.

My screen component went out really quickly, so be prepared that you may have to replace a module or two, and maybe that's part of what makes it affordable...or part of how I'm being tricked into buying more, maybe. I probably will buy more either way. This is a cool kit but don't go crazy connecting things freestyle...you can mess it up and fry your LCD screen...apparently.
