In this project we'll create a PCB shield for the ESP32-CAM AI-Thinker board with a PIR motion sensor, a BME280 temperature, humidity and pressure sensor and some additional exposed pins. We'll create a Telegram bot for the ESP32-CAM that allows you to control your board from anywhere to request a photo, sensor readings or control the flash. Additionally, you'll receive a notification with a new photo whenever motion is detected.

amazing tutorial! I just miss words with delight at how fantastic job you are doing. Personally, I am looking for very similar solutions because they simply interest me very much, probably thanks to you I will spend long hours implementing them into my project. I am waiting for more similar ones because I see that we have similar ideas, but I finish the ideas because I cannot implement them.

Hi Rui, thanks for the great project and the video. I'm only wondering, why the PIR is opposite to the flashlight and the camera, if the camera is used with a logger ribbon.

Hi and thanks for this sharing. The circuit is working flawlessly . BTW i have a question : What is the current consumption of this circuit and is there a way to put the ESP32 in sleep mode and to wake it up when a motion is detected in order to allow longer battery using time? Thanks.

great work Mr. Santos but I have small issues, when I put and object in front of the camera and capture then remove the object and capture again, I still find the object in the picture, unless after 4 captures before it update to new picture without the object....is it a known issue?

Hey, ultimate newbie here with a question. Why don't you need resistors on this project, while you use them on your previous one, where you also build an ESP32-CAM with a PIR sensor (video title: ESP32-CAM PIR Motion Detector with Photo Capture (saves to microSD card))?

Hi and thanks for this great project. i would like to used a Normally open micro Switch to trigger the even of sending the photo. how can i use it instead of the motion sensor. should i connect the 2 leads from the microswitch to where the yellow and black connections are on the motion sensor.

Hi, Dear Mr Santos I I would like to thank you for sharing your fabulous project. I have constructed the same but only with PIR sensor and not BME. The circuit is working fine but when flash is turned on it keeps on and again /flash command is to be given to turn it off. Kindly suggest that it flashes for a couple of seconds and auto turn off. I appreciate your time and efforts. Regards

Hi, I make it and this is the nice project and work perfect , but after one day the esp32 send pictures continues to telegram every 15 seconds without any motion, can you advise me to repair it

How much access does this Telegram App have on the phone. It sounds like another whattsapp, which is better encrypted. It also looks like it just had its first stable release for android two weeks ago. Just don't want to download something that is constantly trying to update itself and crashing the phone.

A useless project. It only works on a local Wi-Fi network. Make a project that will work via the global internet then it will be useful and very cool.

What do you mean? It seems like you didn't understand how the project works. This project works from anywhere in the world. You just need the Telegram app and any Internet or Data connection to access it
