Way Of Thinking

Gabor Mate talks about how our mind has all this ideas, plans, stories, and even solutions that are not even true or necessary; all of the things that go in our mind. It happens to all of us we just have to know that we are not that voice.

I hear voices inside my mind. I know now that I always did. Once I read The Power of Now, and then changed my perception of meditation, I discovered that telepathy and life after death are likely real. I can never get my mind silent completely. Before I read Tolle’s book, I saw meditation as frustrating and boring because I could never achieve complete mental silence. Now I understand that it isn’t completely necessary. It is only necessary to watch and listen. Many people attribute the voices within to the human ego, but we are a collective consciousness. It’s exciting and profound, and eventually it will end human violence and hopefully suffering.

Pain stems from our unwillingness to grow, to take responsibility. That hit me deeply. I never evaluated pain as a consequence of not growing, or perhaps as the possibility of how life could be like if we were more accountable of our lives. Thanks. This was needed at this stage of my life!

Also pain can be a sign of actual growing. Some things make us grow so fast that we usually leave the comfort zone and we are without our armor in a new place, not knowing what to do. But we got to that new place because we grew.

That's amazing about the cancer patient saying, "it was the best thing that ever happened". I was diagnosed with MS about 30 years ago and have frequently said that very thing. It was not something to "fight". I haven't had a relapse in years. It's nice to hear the validation and it wasn't because I was just "lucky".

All the childhood trauma, all the isolation, and all the suffering I've experienced were absolutely necessary components of my becoming my authentic self. It was being raised in an abusive cult that sparked my interest in art and expression because there, those things were not allowed. I'm extremely creative and expressive, yet those things were taboo in my youth, and punishable by beatings and mental and emotional torture. Without that, I never would have become an author. I wouldn't change anything.

In 4:28, when it says "On some level, we don't want to take responsibility", it remembers me of a song called "Trigger", by the Swedish band In Flames, that says: "Just scratch the surface And you will find Something to blame for a long lost time From green to red our days pass by Waiting for a sign to tell us why Are we dancing all alone? this man is smaaaart. 💜💜 in my culture we aren’t taught free will as that means you’re above nature. we teach our kids that we are but a vibe assigned to a body. our thoughts are spirits narrating our story and your body is going to react based on a combo of your vibe and how self aware you are of your Ego. without shadow work people tend to allow their Egos to get entangled in the material world 😞😞😞 Shadow work is just another form of lightwork.

Me being extremely hard on myself, feel like a dunce and that I don’t fit even though I’m comfortable performing my work. I also feel discontent with myself and like I’ve never actually done the right thing for me in my 55 years. It keeps going around my head and I’m looking for things constantly to help my non stop thoughts… books, meditation, exercise. Do I need NLP, a psychologist… blah blah

I nearly bought several such booksI. am realizing that "Judgement" is a problem for me. This American culture is so infused with the idea that we are here to make judgements. ?.. I haven't lived in the judgemental atmosphere that most people live in for 30 plus years, but it is still in my head. I am having to realize that this is a huge problem that keeps me from being who I am even though I could be described as eccentric and authentic and creative. At my undamaged, calm, authentic core there is no judgement. How hard to imagine is that? Well I have experienced it and it was incredibly healing. There I was, like the two people. But I slip off the path, fail to acknowledge and support that part of me I call "home". Physical pain is tapping me on the shoulder. My inner judges have taken over. Every trauma trigger is snapping. I'm miserable, but I'm better than I was yesterday because I have realized that I need to go home to myself. I've been there and I will find my way there again. And there is no reason to live with judgement, not of others and not from our own ego mind. Criticism is another word for it. We don't need the commentary. I could realize that when I don't know what i need that I have drifted away from myself. At our calm compassionate core we know how to move forward. We know who we are. That wonderful Buddhist monk Thich ------, said that when he returns to the present he is going home to himself. Can you imagine? That's all he had to do.... I'm not sure what I have to do, but just the thought of getting there moves me. I will invite myself, stop my thinking, just stop. And perhaps a prayer.

I've been a fan for a long time now! Your perspective on how our society, particularly in a capitalist context, shapes our understanding of self - emphasizing selfishness, acquisitiveness, and competitiveness - is thought-provoking. I deeply resonate with the idea that healing and solutions come from within, rather than external sources like pharmaceuticals. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of self-awareness and internal growth. I also try to live my life with the view of seeing difficulties as opportunities for learning and as wake-up calls to our true selves - it is quite life-transforming to live like that!

I found the demon that controls our lives as Renée Decart tried to explain. It stared at me through the mirror one stormy evening, when my life was a mess. I looked into the mirror intensely crying as it stared back with a crooked smile on my face. It kept telling me that I am in control. So at that moment, I completely surrendered my entire being to the creator of all. These titles and labels of name, being, I no longer plague me. May we all find peace in a dark existence in a materialistic plane.

I just got over a simple cold virus and realized afterward that death, viruses, diseases aren’t bad. We object to them when they happen to us but they act as a rebooting of the system and tell us how to treat ourselves better. We can learn from these things instead of institutionalizing them.

The reason we are in constant movement towards a better self or a better feeling of self is that we have no clue what to do. But the question resides, if you knew exactly what to do at any given time you would not need to ask yourself the question how do I deside without not haveing to deside in the first place. Most of all the addictions of man is as Gabor elequently describes is that most addictions just get replaced by another type of form of the same to extricate boredom or from thoughts that would otherwise trigger reactions. But those difficult things have a sertain lesson in store for everyone ready to listen to the message and you might need someone to guide your thoughts so you dont get lost

talkimg therapy is what helps getting out the mess, the wounds and opening the scars and letting them bleed out until the bleeding is done.

I have a rare skin condition that is not curable and unsuccessfully treatable. After 3 years of living with this skin condition I soon began to realize, I am not just my skin. That's when my anxiety, depression and insecurities started to faded away. I have a very supporting wife and a beautiful son that's helped me over come my struggles in life. You are loved, never forget that!

My mind is still self-centered. However, I know who the enemy is that's trying to kill me. When drinking, I'm delusional when sober I'm illusional and not rational. My instinctive drives try to dominate the only way out is pursuit of spirituality

The Ego Mind - The Greatest "Con - Artist" of All! The ego does not want peace, for it only knows conflict; it does not know solutions, for it only knows problems. Therefore, the ego will always show you the opposite of peace. The ego is aware of what it doesn't want, but only that. It has no positive goal at all. 🥀Peace be to me, the holy child of God. Peace to my brother, who is one with me. Let all the world be blessed with peace through us. 🙏☮️❤ ~ A Course in Miracles
