I have a theory for the kill countdown. Wonder why in the kill animation they only kill the crewmate with a stabing method but when you look at the body the tophalf of they're body is gone? Maybe the imposter EATS the tophalf of they're body. And they're still digesting the body. Thats why theres a kill cooldown. But thats just a theory a GAME THEORY!

For everyone that said how there’s only one bone in their body it actually makes sense because the Henry stickman universe is the same which most likely means that the crew mates are actually stickmen in space suits.

In light of the new Hide n Seek gamemode, I think this further proves why Crewmates can't enter vents in normal but can in this one They can enter the vent, but can't get beyond the opening without getting a bit too cramped, while an Imposter can simply wiggle or, more horrifyingly, crush and deform the host's body in order to fit, Santana style

i like the theory I’ve heard of once where the crew mates invaded the imposters ship/home so the imposters had to kill them off, this explains why the imposters can navigate the vents and can cut the o2/lights without any concerns

One thing I always liked is that if a crewmate is a ghost and they do a medbay scan, they are the same weight that they are when they were alive.

I have a few Improvements/ things I would change The virus started out somewhere in the galaxy but was either transported to Polus or found there where it would be studied. It was studied in the specimen room, located in the bottom right of the map, far away from any other crewmate or task. The specimen room is surrounded by two decontamination rooms (this can be seen as a labeled room in Mira HQ) so the imposter virus could not escape. Assuming this game is based of “The Thing”, it would make sense for it to start in a snowy map as seen in “The Thing”. The specimen room has narrow windows and no vents making it hard for the virus to escape. The virus can also be seen in two green tubes, two purple tubes and a blue tube in the middle. It is clear these thing are living and are likely the imposter virus. Somehow, probably through faulty decontamination, the imposter virus escaped the lab. This is where it started going on a rampage and killing crew members who escaped on the escape ship that players start in “as the lobby” or as in the beginning of the Polus map. It can be noted that crew members likely started on The Skeld and moved using this pod to Polus where they studied it and brought it back onto The Skeld by mistake. Info was learned about the imposters through Polus so it wasn’t a complete fail. As crew members escaped with the Dropship, this is where we enter map #2. The Skeld. The Skeld is a spacecraft ship ment to hold crew members as they transport between planets. The Skeld is a large space craft powered by two engines in the back fulled by a reactor. The Skeld has a weapon similar to Polus however Polus weapon room was likely Anti Aircraft. This shows there is conflict in this universe. The Skeld also has “shields”, a room likely ment to protect the ship as it flies through space. This is where crew members found out they had the imposter virus on the ship and tried to dispose of it before entering Mira HQ. Not much goes on at the Skeld as it is a transportation method for crew members. It must be noted that there is no obvious escape to the Skeld for a drop ship however imposters made it out so it might be the task in lower storage. Now we go to crew members homelands, Mira HQ. Mira HQ is likely where our crew members work or it’s where they get used to earths gravity again (assuming they are on earth). It’s a lab that’s more complex then Polus with higher tech equipment. It’s reactor and lab are past a large decontamination room which proves that the imposter virus if infected onto a imposter can not be removed by decontamination. It has a launchpad room where the drop ship lands and launches from. Mira HQ is in the sky so it’s hard to tell if it’s floating, flying or just really high up. This is the first sign of imposter virus on home planets and shows that this virus is not going away easily. However our crew members continue onto the most confusing map, The Airship. The Airship has clear lore related to Henry Stickman however I’m not diving into that as for thats a whole different book of lore. It seems empty so either the population has evacuated the planet or everyone died (or they left for a lore reason) In conclusion the imposter virus seems to spread easily and is hard to contain, originally being from Polus or brought to it for research. It’s also possible that it killed all of the planets which is why it’s so empty but hey, that’s just a theory. A GAME THEORY. AND CUT.

Another small fact to back this theory up: in earlier developments of the game, the impostors were called the Infected, but this was later changed to impostors.

Plot twist: The astronauts are children. That would explain their size, weight, the lack of urgency to complete tasks, and them building a snowmen reenactment of a murder. Building snowmen is generally a childish, playful thing, and reconstructing a murder with the snowmen does definitely show they have a dark sense of humor, which is something A LOT of kids have these days and I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t have that in the future. Additionally, a good portion of kids enjoy drinks of the like of Don Dew and NRG, and correct me if I’m wrong, I believe I saw what looked like milk in the vending machine, another drink that typically appeals to children. Why would they be on the ship in the first place? Maybe they’re going to MIRAHQ to meet up with their families. An example I have here is Lost In Space. In the show, entire families are sent into space and they must know how to operate a complicated spacecraft and this includes the children needing to know how as well. Perhaps Among Us has a similar concept to Lost In Space, but their parents are sent beforehand. As of why, I do not know. Or maybe, in the future, there is an abundance of children compared to a lack of adults to get the kind of work that needs to be done on the various maps. Incredibly dark twist, sending children into space with a murderous alien(s), but I think it makes sense.

Maybe the purpose of the crewmates winning isn’t to ensure they survive, but to ensure their research gets to their intended destination. Perhaps the ship is carrying research data that can help deal with the alien parasites. Finishing all the tasks or getting rid of all the imposters ensure that the research data gets delivered on time. Whether or not the crew survives is secondary to whether or not the data gets salvaged. That’s why even if you’re killed, you still win if the survivors are able to get home. On the other hand, if you’re an imposter, you win if you can prevent the data from reaching its destination, thereby protecting your parasitic species.

And what confirmation do we get that the impostors haven't already spreaded throughout the universe? It's also worth mentioning that the impostor can win by sabotaging o2, which probably means the impostor CAN live without air, and if one of the ways the crewmates can win is by throwing them out of the Skeld, how can we assure that's not how they ended up in Polus? We never get actual confirmation about where exactly the Skeld is, right? Nor do we get any confirmation about how long an impostor can live without food. And what if the impostors are categorized as an "ectoparasite" (which is a type of parasite that can live outside of it's host rather than inside as a single celled organism)? That would kinda ruin the assumption that this parasite can "infect others". Or maybe they are categorized as a parasite because of their predatory actions (hiding between the crewmates and feeding off of them)? This is great but, I don't think we're gonna be able to reach a certified conclusion about what happens to the crew unless the devs give us a direct answer as to which method they utilized to "win a game" canonically.

Henry stickmen is a game series with so many callbacks and easter eggs that it has to be a theory.

About the height issue: they may are from an earth's future planet colony with higher gravity which will result in them being shorter

Unbeknownst to any of them, a few Crewmates and impostors were left behind on the Skeld. The remaining impostors on the Skeld attacked the abandoned Crewmates. In a last ditch effort, the abandoned Crewmates flies the Skeld into a solar system with 8 planets and a G-type main-sequence star. They then crash land on a snowy continent on a strange planet, however, all the crewmates died in the crash, and the remaining imposter freezes into a block of ice. 100,000 years later, a Norwegian research team finds the ruined Skeld and a frozen impostor. It's time for the Things to shine again. Edit: this is a reference to "The Thing". I'm saying that they are both in the same timeline.

Within the game, there seems to be more character development when it comes to Red. Red is basically the mascot. You see Red on the mobile app’s icon. Red does that “shushing” gesture before the game starts. Most interestingly, the How To Play button shows Red as the imposter. It’s safe to assume that Red is meant to be the canonical imposter in Among Us.

Among us crewmates are almost like humans, just with 205 fewer bones.

My personal theory is that the crew mates are Henry Stickman characters and that’s why when they die they only have one bone sticking out, that was their stick body.
