Canonically, pico was hired by the dad to recover girlfriend, so he never was teleported. And I know that it's not final, but what's said is said, he was never teleported.

I mean, it's an interesting theory at the end, but if you actually pay attention to dev info, you'd realize that Pico was already tracking BF & GF and interrupted GFs display of power.
