Doc once again is blessed by the knowledge of the technical Minecraft community and show two cool contraptions: A minecart based passive mob grinder and a cool 140 blocks per second transportation system. Later Ren and Doc meet for a nice bbq in a very peculiar location.

Natural lightning always strikes the lowest lightning rod in Minecraft. Just place a lightning rod at a lower elevation, keep your design and the dolphin will no longer be at risk.

@@koenemanse7808 According to Google, 18,000 m/s So much faster than in air, which makes sense given the material properties. Sound travels faster in incompressible media. In water for example its something like 4-6 times faster than in air.

While the rest of non-GOATS are figuring out base designs, Doc's installed a fully functional infrastructure ranging from grinders to transportation, elemental summoning device and otherworldly farms. Amazing dedication from you and Ren!Amazing - if this is just the begining, i'm afraid to ask what is mid-season. Love It.

Just so you know, as adorable as it is to watch Doc zipping back and forth in his narrow tube, these sorts of constructions are not a very good environment to keep your MCYTers in. They need access to plenty of naturally generated terrain to branch mine in, or they get all stressed and their update schedule suffers.

@@dr4track1 doctors think I should be able to make a full recovery, I was lucky enough to have the stroke in a rather insignificant area of my brain. Had it while I was asleep so I was unaware of what happend until 3 days later. Went for the doctor because I had a burning sensation in my head for 3 days. Didn’t affect my movement, eyes, balance, speech or ability to understand speech. My short term memory is a bit shit at the moment tho. Doctors think i should be able to make a full recovery with time.

Wow, my jaw hit the floor on this one. Not only the design but the mechanics involved too are genius. Is it possible to create a dolphin spawner farm? Maybe you could build "Octo-coil rapid transport" tubes as a public service, and sell the shoes? Travel across the map in seconds. Beats a boring old horse. Stylish as always, Doc.

It depends on what the statistics say. I am pretty sure that mobs killed by sweeping edge count as player kills, so it would not work for Mumbo.

doc, u can disable the lightning rods by placing glass panes over them at build height. it would be a massive pain but you would barely be able to notice them

Doc you should consider selling the shulker boxes wholesale to other shops at a bulk sale discount that way if anyone sells shulkers they will sell your shulkers. The profit margin will be smaller per box but your market share will grow and you’ll end up with more diamonds, I doubt you’ll ever sell all your shulker boxes. The shops can’t compete against you since you control the supply, make them compete against each other while you supply all sides with product.

One of the things I love so much about this season and there's a ton, is that even though elytras are still the main way of travel, the hermits are coming up with cool ways of making traveling fun. Also I am totally going to use that minecart trick cause even a beginner like me can do that!

I may be wrong, but couldn’t you put some spruce (or any kind) of trapdoors on the roof of the water to help the character to always be on the soul soil and not ever float above it for maximum efficiency?

I thought of this as well. The tunnel could be 1 high instead of 2 with a trapdoor or piston to automatically put you in swim/crawl position. I wonder if this would also make it faster since you dont have to do it manually.

To get rid of the need to reset the minecarts, just make the signal go one way. A repeater from the minecart loop to the pulse extender, the override of course being on the extenders' side. The minecart signal will be isolated and work no matter.

Recently got into Minecraft (I know, late to the party 😅) and got hermitcraft rec’d to me for cool builds and ideas. Your videos honestly blow me away. It’s just so cool you can all of this in Minecraft, there’s just soooo much more possible than I thought.

Idea: make the hyperspeed tube into two circles, one big one and a small one. Put a hermit in each one. Then pull a lever and guide the hermit from the small circle into the big one, but in opposite directions, like a particle accelerator. Boom! Large Hermit Collider.

When I saw Tubbo build this sort of thing, he didn't have a catch at the end to stop, so it just launched them out. It'd be pretty cool if you elevated it and used it as a launcher for elytra flight.

@@TianarTruegard I don't know if soul speed works vertically. If it does, then yeah. Otherwise, the speed you get off of this would let you get pretty high without needing rockets.

Swimming at a 45° and holding w+a (or d) gives you a boost in speed

I'm guessing it's about a 1.41x boost. Which puts max speed at about 195 m/s (702 kph, 437 mph). For comparison the recommended speed for an autobahn is 130 kph (80 mph), a bullet train 320 kph (200 mph), and the hyperloop 1220 kph (760 mph).

@@ernestompascual9072 Math is so awesome! It can be used in ciphers, Minecraft, and all sorts of other applications. Zoology is cool too, though. Animals are neat.

Well i appreciate the curiosity and yes everythingnis going well in my professional life (evidenced by the fact that i have time 2 watch youtube) and the math thing was a joke i liked it when i was in high-school but it did tire me a bit lol

the best part about a youtuber is the viewer experience. the thing about streamers is that they take random clips/ videos from streams that aren’t particularly catered to the watchers experience. doc is now one of my favorite youtubers

Well, the mobs drop items and XP so technically yes. But I would say, for Mumbo it's more of an ethical question. So no. The answer is no. It's just dumb magic.

The hyper speed transport system is amazing, I’d imagine it could be used to just zoom between island districts if expanded. It’s surprisingly cheap for what it does, beacon + move some dolphins + soul speed. Prolly would take forever though haha
