Wow. A channel named after and dedicated just for Vision Pro. Smart.

14:40 I also use the Meta Quest 3 for Mac desktop... with Immersed you can have multiple screens of your laptop... the resolution is good enough...!
@LukeMartin-qi5uhМісяць тому
There are definitely diminishing returns on display resolution now. Quest 3 is very difficult to discern pixels currently but every bump up will still be sharper, just not the large leap we got with prior generations. LCD also has the added benefit of additional sub pixels so it will generally be 'sharper' than OLED. If course you lose the deep blacks by using LCD though. Interestingly enough with AVP it still a series of tradeoffs despite the large price tag. I'm happy to wait until we have a few more leaps in display technology (multi-focal displays, holographic lenses, micro LED ect).
@dariusdareme24 дні тому
@@LukeMartin-qi5uh I actualy feel 1080 resolution are the max limit on phones. VR headsets will probably need 4k +120 hz to feel that way. On normal VR headsets every pixel extra is still noticeable. Is it less immersive if you have a lower density than the Vision Pro's ? No. Will you see the diference ? Yes
@LukeMartin-qi5uh24 дні тому
@@dariusdareme sure but the difference is definitely diminishing. Screen door is effectively an issue of the past when comparing an og vive to a q3. Every increase we get in pixel density is less drastic every generation. Also from what I'm aware retinal resolution at the current fov is dual 8k displays.

Next Sunday is the 14th day. Haven’t used it too much but will keep it regardless. Looking forward to the apps and third party head straps to come.

I was about to spend almost 3k on a movie room. I did the demo and was sold. Is it with $3,500 today. Not really. More like $2k, but with the upcoming update in June and a handful of really usable apps. It will be well worth it. The movie in a massive theater provides no regrets.
@VisionProforNerds24 дні тому
One thing no one talks about is how great movies sound with AirPods. The speakers on it are pretty good, but with AirPods Pro or max they sound like you’re seriously in a surround sound theater.

*Does watching a movie in AVP feel like you are actually watching on TV/theatre or does it feel like a small display next to your eyes?*
@LukeMartin-qi5uhМісяць тому
VR headsets have a focal distance of around 4m. Passthrough is not going look the same as looking through glasses due it being a camera feed, that said flat screens generally feel like high resolution screens floating in your environment. If you want to try a cheaper version of this but a quest 3 it's basically the same thing with lower resolution display.
@VisionProforNerdsМісяць тому
@bushgreen260 hey! It definitely feels like you are sitting in a movie theater, including looking around you and seeing the projection screen behind you. It’s seriously unreal how it feels. In the case of the Apple TV environment, you can even select where in the theater you sit. It definitely doesn’t feel like you have two small screens in front of your eyes.
@bushgreen260Місяць тому
@@VisionProforNerds *Caleb from digital trends said in his review of AVP, that watching a movie feels like having 2 smalls display close to your eyes.*

Great video. As a side note, I’ve found the most “dishonest” reviews of Apple products are rarely from the “fanboys” and mostly from the “haters”. Apple doesn’t pay for reviews like other manufacturers and more viewers use other devices than Apple’s. There is literally zero upside to falsely inflating Apple capabilities. I must have an unusual household. Me and my partner are usually home together but on different devices. It’s even common for one of us to watch the tv in bed while the other is watching something else on the IPad with headphones. I would prefer for Apple to allow for multiple users with saved, private profiles, settings and preferences with everyone using different shields. I’m so glad you mentioned your professional use case. Enterprise and business interests are never discussed by reviewers yet I’ve seen several videos from professions working out their uses from architects, designers, lawyers and coders.

@@rangerkayla8824 I stopped reading after seeing your first hyperbolic and over exaggerated statements. You are clearly not rational or concerned about factual matters. Apple ACTUALLY spends less than Google and Amazon on advertising. Unlike other tech companies, Apple’s reputation is not for overpromising what their products are capable of. Apple is not the company that lies in the keynotes and everyone is disappointed after the product’s release. One of the reasons they are so popular is because Apple delivers on their statements about their products. If you don’t like them, DON’T BUY THEM. No need for this rage filled, over the top, fictitious rant. You are not getting another reply, you’ve wasted enough of my time.

Mine is on order. I appreciate the balanced feedback…… will you also do videos on newest apps you find impactful? I am sooooo excited about sport’s possibilities for this!
@VisionProforNerdsМісяць тому
Yep, that’s in the works! Planning on hopefully doing a Splitscreen app video soon which is one of the most recommended features.

Great video! Agree with the entertainment especially. I'm re-watching so many movies and shows on it and new ones as well. It is just so much more of an experience in them. And I wish I could share these with my wife and son, but honestly we all have very different interest in movies and shows anyway, so I am fine to watch on my own, but it allows me to at least be in the room with them while I watch what I like and they watch what they like on TV or on their own devices. When we have shared movies or shows, we just watch TV and we are good. The movie watching experience in these are so good, I went to the theater to watch Dune 2 (after re-watching the first on the AVP) and I felt the theater was a sub par experience, aside from the sound. I may do most of my main movie watching on these from now on, unless it is something I go to with friends or family. What I really am looking forward to is the immersive video content for sports. Football and basketball for me have the potential to be just amazing. I hope they can go all in on this.
@VisionProforNerdsМісяць тому
Totally agree! The viewing experience on this is amazing, and I can’t wait for other things, like sports, to be incorporated into it.

I just got one from an Apple Store 4 days ago. I’m going to use the crap out of it, and then maybe return it. Not because I don’t like it, but because a cheaper and lighter version is coming. Also, its uses are pretty limited right now since Apple has decided its main function is to look at screens. As far as visual quality, its hit or miss depending on how the headset sits on my head, where the content is located in my vision, and how much glare is in the lenses from the content.
@TroikaMexicanaМісяць тому
Cheaper version coming in about 18months. I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. The leaks are also agreeing with me
