Mountain Lion/cougars have over 114 different sounds, made and captured by biologists. They have very interesting vocal chords. Anyway….we have them in ABUNDANCE, here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s actually become a problem, to the point where Or Dept fish and wildlife have been issuing trap/kill certificates for certain problem cats. The average cat “owns” a 20-50 mile hunt radius. Currently the over-population of the big cats in our area is so out of control their current hunt area is 1-2 miles per cat/cat family. WITH OVERLAP. It’s tragic. There isn’t enough prey for all these cats. Our deer and small critter population is dwindling. The big cats are now hunting small farm animals and pets. Not to mention home cameras are capturing all kinds of cat activity. And these are THE most elusive apex predators. Typically, you don’t see them, but THEY SEE YOU! Anyways, my point,and I do have one….. there is such an over population I would not be surprised if the young males are starting to spread out to other states where the prey population is more plentiful. So states that typically don’t have the cougar, now do.

FYI, I thought I'd tell you that whatever you are hearing as you're telling us stories, we or I can not hear it because you're talking. Even if I rewind it and play it again I cannot hear anything because you're talking. I enjoy watching your videos and I have subscribed to your channel and like each video. 😊

I live in Arab Alabama lol , and my boys and I have heard the scariest howl/roar/scream , I would have thought we were in a werewolf movie if I wasn't awake and trying to get in the trailer lol. we still talk about that sound , I've also heard tree knocks at my nieces house , and she lives right on the 231highway , but has a small corps of trees between her place and the neighbors. I'm now subscribed and I've hit the bell lol , so maybe you can help enlighten me to what's out there lol
