I love it how we post videos like this on UKposts. As if there is nothing wrong with what we do to animals. These poor ducks get ushered down the kill line at around 5 MONTHS young. Usually they are then put through an electric bath before having there throats slit. Really lovely way to treat animals.

It's good they see the sun and run around during their lives

when we were learning about this in vet school, it seemed so much more complicated especially during the growth stage of both the layer and meat ducks (the incubation, culling the bad chicks, preparing their area, the schedule of vaccines, type of feeds to be given depending on age/ type). even during slaughter, there's so much that you need to take into consideration (duck health, weight, proper procedures, etc.). i wanted to have my own farm but after learning about what and how farm management is done, it's really a lot of work but whenever i see videos like this, i remind myself that it's just me being lazy. i also learned that here in asia (idk if this is done in other countries) farms who focus on layers (fowls that are bred for the purpose of laying eggs), they keep the female chicks and the male chicks are thrown out because they are regarded as "useless". they could be eaten but their meat is not good (therefore not good for commercial marketing) since they are not from a broiler farm (broilers are fowls bred for the purpose of getting their meat, the ones sold in the frozen section). usually, these disregarded chicks are the ones you see that are sold in different colors for fun (yes, those rainbow colored chicks)

I happy that these ducks seem to be treated more humanly than than some other videos I've watched. They look very cute, though I understand people need to eat, I'm. just happy they can live the first 5 months of their life in somewhat comfort.

....it's very liberating to think that maybe some of the ducks managed to escape during the time when they are keept outside...they have their wings anyway and hopefully will evade humans for the rest of their life's....

You guys at Noal Farm do a really great job in showing us how it actually is processing meat at some of these animal farms. Thank you for showing us the truth but I prefer wild ducks that I hunt. They live out in the marsh and have good lives until duck season starts!

At the age of 85 have seen many things but never free-range ducks although I love to eat a duck egg for my te but only if they have been labeled with an expiry date to avoid eating an old age.

I hope in the future animal farming can be developed in such a way that every farm animal has a sufficient amount of space available to them. Commercial farms as seen in this video (especially the European one) seem cramped, which is a breeding ground for disease among the ducks and subsequently the people who later eat them. I know meat-production is much cheaper this way, but with antibiotic-resistant bacteria on the rise, I think these changes would be well-justified.
