It would be interesting to see what the peak power/torque output is, and also how much of a steady load it can deliver without heating issues.

I will be trying to put this on a scooter or a bike to see if it's able to move it, will be making a video soon

Hey im wondering if this could be used in a car audio setup my car (2019 Toyota Camry) won't take a HO alternator because of the new ONBUS LINBUS electronics build which is where the cars computer is built into the alternator housing so I can only upgrade my battery system UNLESS I can figure out how to do something like this to power my lithium then i could run any setup I want to this would be able to power a lithium Bank really well i just don't know enough to do it maybe if you made it with a different type of switch kind of like a bass knob but for the speed control im just thinking out loud and asking at the same time im literally clueless and need help to figure it out any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure if it would work but maybe someone who has more electrical knowledge might help?

What amp output is the alternator? Do you need to match it to the controller? I'm thinking of making one for a diy, electric powered go-kart. I can get a second-hand 180amp alternator for around £40.
@rextech427 місяців тому
Doesn't really matter how many amps the alternator has but what matters is how many watts it can produce, so if a alternator can produce 2000 watts, that means a 2000watt controller can run it. I'll be making another homemade motor using a faulty car alternator soon so stay tuned

@@rextech42 Ok, I've subscribed. A quick google search says - "If you want to convert amps and volts to watts, simply multiply the amps and volts." - So my theoretical 180 amp alternator x 12v = 2160 watts. Would that mean I'd need higher than a 2000 watt controller? (sorry for the stupid questions)

Is the car battery enough to run it? How much time can it run?
@rextech4228 днів тому
The car battery is there just to keep the electromagnet live, main power to spin the alternator comes from the 2 drill batteries
@NiteshMahabeer24 дні тому
@rextech42 nice work man. Just a quick one...how many AH must the "electromagnet" be?
