I just looked into Harmony OS's SDK, and as an android app developer, here's my take: It's like.. they base almost everything on Android SDK, but renamed several things, just so they can claim that it's not android anymore. I can understand their example code instantly, since they're basically the same patttern. i.e. - in android, a screen/page inside an app is called "Activity", while harmony call it "AbilitySlice" - in android, we may put the UI layout in a file called "activity_main.xml", while harmony os would call it "ability_main.xml". - in android, we declare button sizes in "dp" unit, but harmony os change it to "vp" unit. I totally agree with you that more option is good for consumers, but honestly.. Huawei's attempt at OS development doesn't make sense to me. Why would they make small changes in the SDK like this, when there's apparently no significant improvement in coding paradigm or functionality? Just so they PR it and claim that now they have their own "custom-built OS" and not an Android fork (like Amazon FireOS or the late Nokia X Platform (RIP)), maybe? Plus.. now it's not compatible with other Android devices and developers have to completely rewrite their apps to support Harmony (yes, because slight difference in class names). Instead of just creating a specific build of their android app with HMS instead of GMS. IMO, It'd be better if they stick with android, and focus on improving HMS, gearing it with better features and make it's easier for apps to adopt it. Anyway, this is just an app dev rant. Ultimately, customers will decide the outcome, and if Harmony ended up taking off.. then will have no choice but to support it. lol

There stands L3, maximum SD and no HDR (I have the MatePad pro from last year). But what Netflix is displaying is wrong, because every other app says that it has Widevine L1 and support for HDR. Luckily there is a workaround for that. You just have to download an application called "Gspace" from the AppGallery and then add Netflix to it. The Netflix that you start through that app (you can also create a shortcut to the homescreen) will now detect your device as one that was released before the US sanctions. Depending on what device the app will emulate (that is random), HDR won't be available. If HDR isn't available, just deinstall and install the app again. Yoga Pad Pro 13 not sure but I did buy the Lenovo P11 Pro 2021 model for review. I'll have it in about 2 weeks. Chinese version doesn't have Google Play but you can side load it or via APK I think. I think it's best to wait for the global model if you can unless the import model is a lot cheaper
