That may actually be really effective. Show him the machine and tell him there's a thousand dollars in it that he can win. But what he doesn't know is the game is rigged to only pay out enough to keep him playing. And then every so often you take the money out and put it to use

I just had to do the math. By my very rough estimate of it's size, and foolishly assuming the whole volume of the machine is basically empty for quarters, I estimate that it could hold about $18,000 , that's 72,000 in quarters. They would have to be perfectly stacked in columns inside, but it's a little more possible than I initially thought.

The ‘pink eye’ looks more like a hordeolum ( a stye). Pretty common, usually treated with warm compresses and sometimes oral antibiotics
