Why is it always incredibly funny when internal dialogue crossfades into another character's voice? I've watched this video at least 5 times by now, and every time Joel's "it's not the first time" shifts Rick's voice, it makes me laugh more than could be reasonably expected.

Haha. Reminded me of the time I slept at my buddy's place. His out of town cousin came for a quick visit (she will be staying in his room)and he had to bunk with me. So we were bunking on 6----9 position (just like in this video) In the middle of the night I woke up from a nightmare (his leg might've graced my face to wake me up) and started screaming, as if I'm in danger. He woke up all perplexed and he was trying to wake me up, but I'm in all defensive mode. So every time he tries to get up, I lunged my legs so hard, pushing him down. After two tries he was down. My other buddy sleeping in the room next heard screaming and rushed in, switched on the light and saw me kicking my friend. When the lights were on, we were able to calm down. The third friend who rushed in, had some kind of blood pressure issue and he had to sit down and almost collapsed. My friend's mom came running and thought something bad had happened and people had died. Till this day (happened 12 years ago) they sometimes remind me of the incident. The third friend be like "Remember the time you morons almost killed me ? I still have nightmares about it"

A commentary about male fragility Sure, but also a story about intimacy, fear, and the yearning for something more. The casual tone is enough to shake off as a joke, but there’s a rawness there. Surrender? Confusion? The desperate need for affection, to be known?
