EazySpeezy is speedrunning all our favourite childhood games, while it took us an entire class to figure out what the controls were

The Hedgehog is the guy from Hedgehog Launch, which this game is inspired by

The hedgehog is actually a reference to another game that's literally the same as Learn To Fly 3, but I think it was the first of that type of game to become super popular. Not too sure- I remember playing it before any other game where you launch yourself to get money & eventually go to space.

That “coil” he dropped in the reactor is a fuel rod. It’s a really bad idea to drop them like that, but it won’t result in an explosion.

Turns out Eazy was using those money turbine to fund his speedrun that requires in-app purchases.

I’ve actually tried speed running this game every day in the computer lab

In my AP calc class my friends and I spent a good 2 weeks playing this game and after a ton of testing we figured out that you can win the 200,000 meter one in 3 days if you optimize it almost perfectly, and anything above that in just 4 days. For this speedrun, you could go for our 4 day strategy; first launch you go for flight time with a gas booster, because that gets you more money than any other launch method for the first day. Second launch you go for speed with a sonic boost and a body (El Fuego I think). Third day you can use some sonic boosts with El Fuego to hit around 250,000 after you upgrade them perfectly, and then same strategy gets you over 1,000,000. It's all dependent on you not slamming into a random flying object, but it goes fast enough that you can just try again if that happens.

I've never heard of this game, but it has penguins so I might try it.

You can hold the down arrow to stall activating your bursts of speed, so you would want to wait a bit more after the reactor for highest distance

Watching eazypeezy speedrun these kinds of games remind me of having three of the boys try and boost through every game we can before the teacher comes back into the room

Learn to Fly 3: The Speedrun where you strap bitcoin mining turbines to your rocket.

This was one of my favorite childhood games great to see a video about it lol

I used to grind this game a lot so I have a few comments. 1. Are you allowed to use the bonus shop for this speedrun (to get a lot of buffs)? The bonus shop gives a lot of different very useful buffs including increased power (launchers, stages, and boosts), decreased drag, decreased gravity, increased fuel, increased money earnings, reduced obstacles in the air, and more. Most importantly, this would unlock upgrades over max. Through upgrades in the bonus shop, you can unlock level max+100 for all of your items. 2. I'm no speedrunner but from my experience, el fuego + sonic bursts is very op. El fuego gives a multiplicative power boost to your stages for a few seconds (this is very op in combination with sonic bursts, allowing you to achieve truly absurd levels of speed). Upgrading it beyond max level is where it truly becomes absurdly op. Same with sonic bursts. You will then want to use fuel tanks and shields. This will add weight to your penguin. This sounds very counter intuitive but this is good because it means obstacles in the air will affect you less (combined with speed, this will allow you to plow through them much more easily). The shield boost negates a certain number of obstacles and also adds weight. I'm not certain el fuego+sonic burst will be the best strategy for this particular speedrun due to the relatively low altitude goal but it might just work better. This is the only effective strategy for reaching truly absurd heights. I think I remember reaching a height of 70 million at one point using el fuego+sonic burst+fuel tanks with a very high upgrade.

You could try Into Space series. They are also "go up" games with plenty of upgrades, which means ther is a lot of possible tactics.

speezy you can optimize your time more, when your second and third sonic burst activate youre already at top speed, wasting distance. hold the down arrow key and itll save you atleast 30 seconds of your final launch. good speedrun all around. keep up the good work
