After some days of building the LED Matrix today I finally finished the cube. Some few problems with broken joints and 1 short appeared, but could be fixed using a multimeter checking for shorts and continuity. Now its running and man, this is an awesome few. Next step is to download more code and write own effects. I found the assembling of the led matrix a bit more difficult as seen in the video here. The first 2 level of diodes looked very tilted and had several shorts. After that I improved the usage of the "distance" tool. Took me somewhat longer as in the video but the LEDs were arranged in an straight manner. The build quality of the PCB and the acrylic protection cover is very decent, high quality. 👌

Just built mine. Took about 15hrs...then as i was walking with it to show someone, my cat stop right in front of me and i dropped it. Only broke 2 solder points, but bent the crap out of it. I was able to get it MOSTLY back to shape. Doesn't look bad and it's pretty cool. To be honest though, i thought all the LED were RGB when i bought it. But it was cheap so i'm ok with it. Very cool

Great job , very neat soldering !I going to buy similar kit , and have one question for you - Are you happy with such choice of colour layers of LED,s ? Would you change it if you do it from the beginning ?( For example- more red LED,,s or more green ..) Thank you..

There's a trick to get the tinned wire straight: You have to put one end in a vice. Grab the other end with a pair of pliers and pull. Pull the wire until you recognize it stretches and gets weak. Stop pulling and remove the wire, it will now not bend back !

I am currently working on one but when I test each layer of LEDs only the top left and right row/column light up any idea what the issue is?

Check the legs of led small leg is negative and big is positive

sounds like broken solder joints. Take a multimeter and check continuity.
