What I find particularly interesting is how you manage to replicate the effects of light reflecting on Lizzy with the lightning. I bet that that was very hard to do!

The fact that a one man team is able to make such a high quality video also demonstrates Jurassic Park’s ingenuity of using rain and darkness to make visual effects easy (darkness with single light source eliminates difficulty simulating indirect illumination, water makes simulating reflection easy). One of the main reasons Lizzy doesn’t blend in as well in some other videos is it would be incredibly difficult to recreate realistic lighting with so many objects in the scene bouncing light around. Here it is much simpler, just 2 light sources (moon + lightning) and both being white.
