Beautiful table. It's great when you that brings such happiness, especially for your kids. I've looked at a number of woodturning projects that used glued up colored pencils, but on a much smaller scale. Your is epic. Great job as always man! I'd had a though for something similar but do the color pencils for the land mass then straight epoxy with various shades of blue for the oceans. To be fair, I like my sanity for not having to cut up & place that many pencils :D

Are you cutting those pencils to 1.5 inches that what I did with stupid hacksaw, then what? That a brilliant idea to glue then together and then glue them onto board you are A+ brilliant. I have not sorted the colours and can cut an octagon shape as I only have one knackered saw,and gonna do more simple pattern. Another great idea if I can get hold of a stair spindle and make it look like a giant pencil so the table connection and legs.

I think I cut them to about 2.5 inches. The table ended up to be 2” thick
