Well I’ve recently started studying Russian so I’m gonna be biased and say that .....it’s a fascinating language to say the least -the Latin languages are appealing to many evidently though I find them overrated lol I speak fluent Spanish coz of my heritage but II’m Australian. Now that I’m getting used to the Cyrillic “алфавит “ it’s becoming very enjoyable! Нецивилизованно использовать картинки для общения словами! Я согласен, английский - это первобытный язык! 😃

Ничего в нем красивого вообще нет, живу и работаю в Норвегии с 14го года. Рваный и дерганый язык, так еще с почти всегда проглатываемыми наполовину словами. Кстати очень похожий на немецкий Канже (kanskje), Шьель (Kjell - имя) или спёшмол (spørsmål) - очень красиво, наверное.

@@user-pu1em7nq1u Да, мне тоже нравится. Меня знакомый из Норвегии вдохновил учить норвежский, но и без этого язык на слух интересный. Я прошёл десяток-другой уроков на Duolingo, там, кстати, они очень даже неплохие (только они для знающих английский). Сейчас больше заинтересован в азиатских языках, но норвежский хотел бы когда-нибудь выучить)

Однако я не большой эксперт в нём, у меня лишь сложилось такое впечатление, когда я читал про его грамматику. Так-то я куда лучше разбираюсь в японском. P. S. Дуолинго хорош для некоторых европейских языков, особенно, если это курсы для знающих английский, но ужасен, если речь заходит об азиатских языках, я этому воочию убедился.

In it's richness, in the variety of imagery of the language and in the (available) degree of expression for your emotions and experiences. It's actually kinda hard to translate cuz words in russian sentences are tied to each other by meaning and relation and so you don't have a "correct order of words" in it like in english - you can place words wherever in the sentence and it's meaning wouldn't change (tho this way you can stress the words you want to bring attention to them and give an additional meaning). It's one of the good things of slavic languages - you can express complex meanings in few words cuz you don't have to think how to shove it all in the sentence to make it sound ok, your words are already doing this job and store relations to different meanings. That's why it kinda sounds dry in english - words there don't relate to each other that much and everything sounds simpler. But it's also great! The simplicity of english is it's advantage and it's what made it into the language of the whole world.

I would have said the same thing if a single one of them mentioned norwegian. That didn't happen. So now I hate the sound of russian.. Norwegians feel our language has some weird similarites to dutch though.. as if we can almost understand it, but just not quite. And dutch people here, yes they learn norwegian fast. But they weirdly often end up having almost no accent, regarding pronounciation. Germans and english get very recocnizeble accents usually, as an example.

It's weird because this sound doesn't even exist in french and from what I've seen studying spanish and russian at school, the french struggle a lot to make it.

That's because it's short version of "french (language)", and we don't say "language" necessary, cause in russian we can point out that we're talking about it by ending of the word like skij/skaja/skoje If you need an explanation :)

That's funny as "suki" (which sounds the same) means "like" in japanese, which was the theme in the video

@@Iemonzinger Being a Swede, I obviously am not the perfect person to be a perfect judge. That said, there are several languages that have lots of tonality, and also languages that have bigger sound inventories.
