Ma Rainey's music carried me through some dark times in my life. I love her so much. I'm happy that her legend continues to grow! The mother of the blues and rock n roll.

I learned about her from the Viola Davis movie. However, I never heard of Ma Rainy before and that was disappointing because im a huge Blues music fan.

Who do y'all think could play Ma Rainey if they made a bio-pic? Viola Davis and Mo'Nique were both great as Ma Rainey in other movies. But if they make a new Ma Rainey movie, I'd like to see Leslie Jones in the role!
