Mr Paul thank you for passing on classic British Village bakery recipes to the next generation. So often I look for recipes to recreate that village bakery feel and your recipes are always spot on. Would you consider doing a classic British bakery style chocolate dipped flapjack?? Cut into triangles of course, and served in a white paper bag which turns clear from the grease 😊

Mr. Paul, all the the dishes you have prepared look delicious. I especially enjoying seeing the weekly "bits n' bobs" evolve into an appetizing dinner plate. (The dogs likely do as well, especially if any surplus from the preparation😊) Asparagus is just coming in season here too, and I was happy to find some at the shop this morning. Take good care.

Every meal just looked delicious. I need more days in the week to try making these. I look forward to your Thursday meal, making use of the leftovers and scraps. I’ve started doing that more too because I’m inspired by your having a think about what to do with them and not rushing in. Terrific video as always, thank you for taking the time to create them 🌟

That savoy cabbage looked fantastic! This winter I made braised red cabbage several times - so easy and delicious, baked with a little onion, butter, vinegar, sugar, grated apple and cranberry jam. Your meals looked very beautiful and tasty. Your savory pies are perfection on a plate! Thank you for sharing with us. 🦋🌷

Hi! I believe it is 2 reasons 1- the flavours have time to 'marry' and intensify, and 2 - the taste is sooo good, but there is usually only a bit left so we savour it to the last mouthful!

Great use of the odds and ends on Thursday, Mr Paul. Haven't had Duchess potatoes in a while. Tomorrow is my mystery pie day. I'm hoping it's either corned beef or minced beef and gravy. If it's apple or rhubarb, then dinner is going to be interesting 😅😅

I really love this part of your channel, the presentation of your meals and the variety is amazing,I made the chicken and leek pie the sauce was beautiful I cheated with the pastry (shop bought) but still amazing, I loved your Sunday dinner today Thank-you once again for the work and effort you put into your channel. Hi Bebe, NEVER ever apologise for using shop bought pastry, I know many people from the feedback I get who would never have tried any of my recipes if I had insisted they made their own pastry. Shop bought pastry today is a world away from how it was in the 60's & 70's.

Great them Paul. Proper traditional stuff that reminds me of my Mum. The pork chop roast looked great! Saves you doing a full roast meal too. You really must make some Scouse. I'm from Liverpool and it's the dish of the City. You may call it stew, but here it's Scouse. Best is if you do a big pan of it it will last you a few days.

i liked them all! I'm glad you are making such interesting food, though I guess for you it is typical but for me it is so interesting. I would like to try making bubble and squeak sometime. I really like cabbage!

Glad you like them. Bubble and Squeak can be made with any kind of leftover potato and greens, my favourite is with crushed Roast potatoes and cabbage and also peas, in fact any Sunday roast leftover veg. When frying it, make sure you get a nice crust formed on the bottom, that's the best bit.

I love your weekly meal presentations. Wonderful ideas, and I like the way you use up your bits and bobs! I like the idea of the puff pastry, beans and sausage. I have everything I need to give it a try. One question. What is your recipe for minted peas? Do you use spearmint? I hope all went well with your medical appointment! Do take care!

Hi Judith, yes I use ordinary garden mint and drop it in the cooking water. Unfortunately, I did not get the answers I was hoping for at the hospital. but, I'm doing OK thanks.

Thanks and here is your Parsley Sauce Recipe; Ingredients 40g/2oz butter 40g/2oz plain flour 500ml/17fl oz milk salt and white pepper 4 tbsp finely chopped parsley Method Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and gradually stir in one-third of the milk. Return to the heat and simmer, stirring, until all the milk is absorbed. Repeat this process until all the milk has been added. Simmer gently for 5 minutes and season with salt and white pepper. Stir in the parsley and serve. I hope this helps

Hello Mr. Paul! Lovely meals as ever. I love how you create a meal with leftovers! I am just curious: Did you speak Spanish before moving to Spain or learn it there or is it possible to get by with English?

Hi Laura, when my late wife and I came here 25 years ago we did not have one word of Spanish, We opened a bakery and took it one day at a time. We had the bakery 11 years then I sold up to take care of my wife, who I sadly lost in 2017. I still live in the same house.in a mountain village, just myself and three rescue dogs.

Hi mr Paul lovelymeals I love cabbage I'd rather have veg than potatoes I used togo mums every Saturday and one Saturday we were having cabbage so j saidto mum ill have onepotato and mum's aid are you on a diet and j said no ill have plenty of cabbage instead of potatoes mr Paul do you just use lard when making pastry it looks so crumbly my mum just used lard and her minced beef pies were so lovely and that cheese beans and sausage melt you made looked better than greggs because the was more filling in it love fran xxxx

Great looking food. Do you eat it luke warm? By the time you actually sit down to eat it after filming it must have lost a lot of the heat. Most of the plates you served on were not microwavable.

Hi, well in my weekly meals I'm only filming the plating up, not the actual cooking. When I make my recipe videos I usually pop the finished plate in my small toaster oven whilst I move the cameras and lights. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
