With all due respect , it is not being considered here that eve would have labored and delivered by herself with no midwife , nurse or doctor. I believe Eve must have had help from God and possibly his angels to help her through the anguish of labor and delivery of a child . She must have been so afraid . This is why she gives credit to God for the birth of a man .

Thank you for this frame of reference for dismissing the Serpent Seed doctrine that is snaking it's way into many and varied presentations, but like the Hydra, even though it's head is cut off, seven more will replace it. Jesus/Yeshua(seed of the woman)will take care of the serpent's seed(singular)at the appointed time.

What was God referring to when He mentioned "the seed of the Serpent" in Genesis3?

Thank you for your work/books...Genesis 3:14-15; This is the first great promise and prophecy. The seed to bring Christ. The serpent "nachash" ; "shining one" aka Satan's first assault on "zer'a", the bloodline to bring Jesus Christ/Immanuel (God with us). Genesis 4:15 "...And the Lord set a mark upon Cain..." Genesis 4:17-24 is Cain's genealogy, very interesting when you translate the meaning of the names. Genesis 5 "This is THE BOOK OF GENERATIONS OF ADAM..." Cain is not there??? Genesis 6:4 "...when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them..." Yet another assault on the seed (bloodline) of Jesus Christ our Salvation. Genesis 6:9 "THESE THE GENERATIONS OF NOAH: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations [pedigree, family history] and Noah walked with God". John 8:44; 1 John 3:12

Everything you said I feel is dead on. But then again I barley made it to get a high school diploma, so I listen to you with close ear and fierce concentration, just hopping deeply to just get a few nuggets that I can make sense of, and am able to run with it. I can’t find a church that I can “live with” so for fiveish years I read intently and follow three people of witch you are the newest of the bunch. Of the other 2 one is a kereit Jew, and one is a Christian Dr. who is also a Texas cop. they seam to have beliefs pretty close to the way I feel in my heart that Yehovah is pushing. I’d just like to point out that 1 woman can have twins from 2 different men. It happened in my own family. one baby was a good deal darker than her sister but the clincher was a paternity test that showed both girls had different fathers. 1 of Eastern European decent & 1 of wast African decent (or African American). But this doesn’t mean I will stop trying to learn from you, in fact I just ordered 2 of your books (I’m just hopping to pick up a nugget or two in each chapter) Between You, Jeffrey Seif, & Nehemia Gordon are 3 of the biggest brains 🧠 out there & you put your knowledge out there for one & all to partake of at no cost, and it humbled me deeply to learn from you & the others. It all comes down to that particular language meaning the same as "I have gotten a son, by the Grace of God" which we don't find confusing at all.

I still have questions... So, while this explains some of the passages of Genesis and the epistle of John, it does not explain the curse of Genesis 3:25, and why Eve and the Serpent are described as having respective seeds that are at enmity. It’s obvious that Adam would have seed, but unusual verbiage that the woman and the Serpent would be described as having seed. What then is the purpose of this type of unusual wording here? We know there is to be a redeemer, but why mention “her seed” as opposed to Adam’s seed? And while we can look in hindsight and determine who “her seed” is, we have no identifiable means of determining who the Serpent’s seed actually is.

That is all very interesting, but isn't that pretty much how all the Scriptures and apocrypha and pseudepigrapha developed? For example, the verse in Deuteronomy 32 that talks about the nations being divided "according to the number of the children of Israel". The Septuagint says "according to the number of the angels of God". If we compare the Samuel/Kings account to the Chronicler, we find many examples of changes like this made to conform to a certain worldview. For example, in 2 Samuel it says that the angel of the Lord incited David to take a census, but in the Chronicles account, it says that Satan incited David to take the census. The book of Enoch is a dramatic example of the phenomenon discussed in this video. In that case, an entire book is fabricated in some author's mind from just two or three obscure comments in the Old Testament about Enoch, Nephilim, and Watchers. More importantly, the whole New Testament is, in fact, a wholesale reinterpretation and expansion of the Old Testament. The same way that Heiser dismisses the Targums, the Jews dismiss the New Testament. I really enjoy Heisers' lectures, but by defending the New Testament, he is guilty of the same thing that the writers of the Targums are.

The problem is we are searching for a fall that changes the human line from immortal to a fallen mortal genealogy. The Targum seems to answer in that the "tree of Adam" goes from made in God's image to a tree -future geneology "of death". A believer is not resurrected a human but like the Angel's, which we know was intended for the first children.

Is it possible that Eve is addressing (talking to) God? That is, she says to God that she has acquired a man. Could the "alef tav" represent the preposition "to"?

People think it’s because Cain is not in Adams genial line

I take it to mean that she has finally had a son. Maybe the first 30 kids were daughters, and girls need a man for obvious reasons. Then finally a son, the first man-child is given to her by the grace of God. When Able is born she doesn't make a big deal of it like when the first son is born. So, she essentially says, finally by the grace of God I have had a son.
