Regime change is old fashioned now, the US has moved to regime destruction. They could not destroy the Afghan Taliban government because Afghanistan was one of the poorest countries in the world and there wasn't very much for them to bomb, Taliban was popular among the impoverished majority without electricity or running water, where people sought meaning in life from devout faith, it was not a secular country and the corrupt US puppet governments could not take hold. Ideally societies with evolve their own governments without violent foreign involvement. Africa needs to not just fight the west but fight their own corruption and greed. If Africa would join the BRICs and literally use gold as money maybe africa would be amazing in the future. Lybia etc should have joined the BRICs and had a military treaty before ever trying to sell oil in gold. Iraq was invaded cause they could be.
