Interesting! Male USB-C plugs are SMT only. I guess the rationale is that the casing would provide the mechanical stability (it might, I dunno). Love the workaround: shortest USB-C 3.2 cable ever. Are you guys looking at the C2 (C3?) RISC-V variant of the ESP32?

Be very careful bending the pot pins. Grip the pin on the pot side if the bend with needle nosed pliers or the equivalent and use that, rather than the pot body, to supply the bending force on that side of the bend. It is relatively easy to damage the bond to the resistive element inside the pot. (Says the guy who had to repair a piece of audio equipment where the manufacturer said: "Yeah, we see that often enough, and here's a free replacement pot if you don't want to ship the system back and forth and can do the work yourself.")

How do you connect these to a raspberry pi 3+ so that you can reflash the BIOS on a computer that's been corrupted?
