you guys need to expand the team working on this, have a team work on NES, another Team on SNES, N64, Gamecube, etc.. i mean, 3 NES games a month? if the intended idea here is to put the entire NES library on here before moving on to SNES, I'll be in my 50's by the time that happens... at the current rate of 3 games a month, that's 36 games a year.. and how many games are in the NES library? based on a search, the total is 714, it would take 20 years at current rate..

What gets me is that this is such a good idea in theory. Pay annually and you get free access to an awesome Netflix-style service filled with Nintendo's classics. Why the heck are they ruining it by filling it with NES games we've either already played a million times or games no one ever wanted, and limiting the whole thing to just NES games?

The big points that I'm pretty sure most could agree on to make this maybe not perfect but at least better: > *return the existing games already on Virtual console for both 3DS and Wii U* - people don't necessarily care about online versions of older games and if they did they probably never would've bought many of them in the first place and you're losing out on money by not providing the option > *allow transfer of all Virtual Console games purchased on the Wii U and 3DS via the NNID link* - we already own them we shouldn't need to pay again include the transfer as part of the online if you must but they should transfer > *cloud saves for ALL games (unless the dev/publisher has their own backup)* - no one should be screwed by a system or game failure, end of discussion > *free cloud saves once a day for physical copies since you removed the ability to save to the physical cards* - physical users shouldn't be screwed if their system dies for a decision you made > *free cloud saves for all users once a week* - no one should be set back too far for a system failure which is very possibly not their fault because nothing is perfect > *all free cloud saves could then be restored only by contacting support who could weed out the possible abusers* > *local save backups to the mSD* > *paid users would then simply get free cloud backups and restorations whenever they wish and without needing an mSD card* > *special offers by default include discounting any ports of games on 3DS or Wii U at time of release on Switch to DLC prices on Switch* - encourage people to upgrade from the 3DS and Wii U without looking at a steep paywall to once again play only slightly upgraded versions of games they already own > *system level voice chat* - ditch the app, the system is capable of it and always has been and you know that better than anyone You can keep the online versions of older games coming for people who want them but not everyone does. You'd garner much more support for this with these fixes. Anyone else has any reasonable ideas to add to this, list 'em below. Just try to keep in mind to keep it to things that aren't covered here and that would make more sense to have as part of a paid service. More system's games wouldn't make sense, for example, since VC's return would do that by default and they intend to do that eventually anyway for the online versions of games. Also, I've seen messaging your friends and themes thrown around but if they included those things it should realistically be for everyone. Though I guess there could be special themes as part of the offers or something.

I feel like by the time we see snes games on here the Switch will be long gone. Us fans who paid for the service really want more than just nes games....we want snes, n64, gamecube. The Switch can potentially be backwards compatible with even the Wii because of the joy cons. Nintendo, please bring back some kind of shop so I can give you my money to buy these classic Nintendo games. Plz. Also could you open up online play so there is matchmaking so I can actually play with some people. None of my friends have a Switch and I still wanna experience playing these classic games online. I have supported Nintendo since I was a kid and still do but this service is pretty terrible so far.

Do you think anyone wants this, Nintendo? No, nobody wants this because we've been able to play these exact same games for decades now, and at this point it's getting kinda old. What you should've done was: 1: make dedicated servers for Splatoon and Smash, like they're gonna need it 2: let us use the cloud save feature for every game. if Xbox can let us use could save on all of our games without cheating, the you have absolutely no excuse to not let us use it for games like Splatoon 3: Just make the service worth the $20, please. I feel like I handed over $20 for the exact same thing I had before. Literally the only thing you give us is these NES games ((most of them aren't even good tbh)) Like maybe give us SNES and N64 games, that'd be pretty rad if I'll be honest. If this service isn't fixed by next year, then I'll just go back to the WiiU, that is if it's still supported. Now yes, I do know that there are way more problems, more than I can even count, but at this point I'm gonna hope that Nintendo listens to us, because they're gonna lose a TON of money if they don't fix this horrible service

To make this system (as in Nintendo switch Online) worth it add SNES and N64 games. GameCube might be pushing it. But if we did get GameCube, we could get melee on the switch. And maybe they’d add online functionality. For glory Melee anyone?

I said this before and I’ll say it again, if you were one of those people who blindly defended Switch Online and it turns out to be a dumpster fire, I better not see you complaining about it. This is what happens when you give a company your money and blind loyalty, you open yourself up to horrible service and corporate greed.

Ok, so the Metroid is good, but where is Punch Out?

On the off chance that someone at Nintendo is seeing this, hear me out. More often than not, the third party games on the NES are the ones that people remember, and it's obvious that the developers of those games have to be on board in order to port them to this service. Instead of NES games, rebrand this as "Nintendo Classics Collection" and get a bunch of first party games from systems beyond the NES. Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Ocarina of Time, F Zero, Pilot Wings, Mario 64, all are viable options

I'm getting really tired of Nintendo throwing new ways to play NES Games. The original NES, The NES Classics on GBA, the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS Virtual Console, the NES Classic Edition, and now this. They don't even pick good games! We could've gotten stuff like Castlevania, Mega Man 1 2 or 3, or Mario 2, but no. We get "Twin Bee" and "Mighty Bomb Jack". They are doing the same thing they did over and over, but did it even worse! I want to play N64, and GameCube, and DS games! Not the same things we've been playing for 30 years over and over with new ways to play it!

Get yourself some grid paper and play metroid making your own map as you explore. It can be one of the most fun experiences with gaming imo and I can't wait to play it again.

Give me SNES, Gameboy/Color, N64 and gamecube games and I'll be happy

Donkey Kong 64 deserves a full blown remake on the Nintendo Switch with 5 more characters and 5 more stages. 5 characters are Mario, Dixie Kong, Kiddy Kong, Wrinkly Kong, and Cranky Kong. The tag barrel controls should be Switched to left D pad. The character models should be smaller than their Nintendo 64 counterparts, while the open world should look the same, but bigger than the Nintendo 64 counterparts. The speed increase, banna coconut time extended, watermelon health, and 10 new multiplayer games is a must to show what the Nintendo Switch can do.

Are they continuing to release more NES games that no one recognizes (Except Metroid) for Switch Online? If that's the case, then put in Karnov next. No one knows about it except for me and I love it.

Finally I can play Metroid on the Switch. It isn't Prime, but it does help hold metroid fans over like me until Prime 4 gets some gameplay footage

My New Nintendo 3DS XL will continue to be my Virtual Console haven for NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, DSi Ware, Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear games. I love being able to play Sega Genesis games in 3D.

I like the addition of the smaller games like Mighty bomb Jack. I already own the games like Metroid and Zelda on my Wii U/3DS, but these small games that I kind of want to have or try, I wouldn’t pay $5 or whatever for, so having them appear here for free is great! That said, it’s a very slow trickle until they’re done with all NES games, it could certainly be more than 3 per month...

Kirby's Adventure, Castlevania, EarthBound Beginnings and Super Mario Bros. 2 are all highly requested games. I'd recommend considering them all for release next year. As for Mega Man, well, that's entirely up to Capcom, now isn't it?
