I get more of a sense that the Nintendo programmers, artists and game designers take their job VERY seriously and takes game design VERY seriously, unlike another company where the programmers just seem to do it for a paycheck and the game designers and artists deep down inside want to make Hollywood movies.

You can truly feel the love and passion all of Nintendo had for this game. I still discover new itty bitty things every once in a while, I never get tired of this game. how do you not get tired of it? the entirety of the game is shrines and korok seeds and stupid-simple fetch quests. it has no depth. the game never rewards you for exploring random places bc you always know what you'll find.. either a dumb weapon or one of those things. take a game like elden ring for comparison. you literally never know what you're gonna find... a boss? a new type of enemy? a new weapon with interesting skills? a new spell? a new skill that changes the way you play? an intricate character-driven story quest? environmental details that blow you away and tell a small piece of a the lore of the world? a cave? an entire new MAP underground? a castle? a village? a dungeon? so many possibilities that can change the way you're playing the game in unexpected ways. zelda is incredibly flat and predictable by comparison.

Each time I replayed Ocarina, I felt nostalgic for what it was like playing it for the first time. Steel Tarkus Or imagine a Mario Maker where you could choose from a bunch of different games with all their physcis intact and do crazy things with. I think a Zelda Maker wouldn't work quite as well as Mario Maker simply because making actual dungeons/puzzles would be far too complex for the average guy to mess around with. Far too many MM stages are terrible. Imagine getting a terrible Zelda dungeon...blergh

MARIO KART MAKER! MARIO... *FREAKING* ... KART MAKER! BEST game idea EVER! Build your own race courses! Yes, Nintendo would have to make it easy to select certain track pieces, but imagine mixing elements like Bowser's Castle then flying over Luigi's Mansion, into Peaches castle for the last lap! You choose where the special items will be placed! Who ELSE think this is a BRILLIANT idea?

My favorite thing about BOTW that is commonly overlooked, is that combat is almost always an option. For a player like me who loves combat, i’m able to engage myself with as many enemies as i please. However, with a player like my mom who hates fighting, she’s able to avoid most enemies and focus on collecting items and exploring (which is her favorite part of the game). This game is truly beautiful and was clearly well thought-out and planned so that everyone, no matter age, race, or gender, can enjoy it in its entirety.
