In 2019 we went into the mountains to test how distance affects different parameters of our low-power cellular technologies. Since then, the progress made by further developing the technologies has called for a re-test of these results using the nRF9160 DK and Power Profiler Kit II (PPK2). In our 2022 experiment, we captured the same data as in the previous test, but also gathered additional data to further increase our insight into how distance affects the power consumption of cellular IoT systems.
