I wanted one of these so bad at the time. Couldn't afford it. Had an Ofna Pirate 10. A 1/10th scale truck with a 1/8th scale motor. A hyper .21. Insane! I had put a number of .18's into 1/10th scale trucks but, this was nuts. Stupid fast, too. Would break metal CVD's by spinning a doughnut. Finally fixed it and sold it. Couldn't keep it together for more than a tank. Lol.

I wanted one of these so bad back in the day just to much money but still great memories of the RC world.

I have two of these beasts. You get one you have to get to for back up. Keep an eye on the 6 little screws on the silver aluminum two speed. This thing vibrates like crazy and they shake out. Gears then strip its a pain to find new ones because it's old and somany had it happen. I had to buy second truck to fix it. Oooh and yes used purple weak and blue medium thread lock still would come lose after a few tanks. Didn't want to use red thread lock because threads are so shallow. Great video. In person when both engines are running its sounds like a pissed off bee hive.

Love the truck. When I get my hands on old nitro I always break them in as if they are new. Because odds are they were barley even ran. So im my experience they are not broke in.

I have this Same Truck and like 10 other Nitro Monster Trucks from the early 2000's I use to buy every model they Had at the time

The reason you have to keep lifting the lid on the right fuel tank is because a vacuum is forming in it caused by the engine drawing fuel from it but no air getting back in to it, this theory is backed up by the sound of the engine as you can hear it start to run lean and then runs normal when you let air back in the tank. Try and blow through the nozzles on the tank cap and exhaust, one of them is probably blocked.

That thing is bad ass !!! I had one back in the day lol I gave it away while moving oh I kick myself now . I just got an rc plane and a few old gas cars given to me . Sadly no one put after run oil in and all engines need love . The plane rolls over but carb is stuck . I need to watch more of your cleaning vids .

In germany we had the exact same thing called jamara megalith twin.The single megalith had some major issues with the halfshafts when the chassis was bottoming out. Don't know if they got this fixed when the twin was introduced. Kyosho had a badass monster like this some years later, think it was named twinforce

This twin engine is a bit overkill but I like it. Great for pissing off neighbors. I have a kyosho giga crusher 1 engine model in the original box and ceased. But you can't kill it. Great content. Trying to catch up with the vids 👍

I remember that truck had many problems but the biggest for sure were clutch issues. Basically the engines had to be running exactly the same or else you'd burn up bearings and clutch shoes. Something about both engines connected to the spur gear together - there was no give and take. If one engine had more power it would burn up the clutch shoes and bearings in the opposite engine. That and the vibration was so violent that it would rattle the truck to pieces. It also had numerous drive train issues because of the power and the big heavy tires. We tried testing the truck when it was new and never were able to get it to run reliably. We actually sent it back to OFNA and asked them to fix the issues so we can test it again. They never did, so we only showed pictures of it and never did an actual review. It's a beast of a truck for sure and a good reminder of when RC companies weren't afraid to take chances. Best put that sucker on the shelf, but I commend you for giving it a try.

hello bro i have nh problem with my nitro .. have a force engine r.25 black ... bought new installed and set to basic settings to let it run in ... as soon as the engine is on for 30 seconds it starts to stutter and the engine stops.. do you have a tip how i can get rid of it or is it the fuel? the fuel line is too short... it is 3 cm long to the carburetor

I have single.28. Can the mach.28 replacement sleeve and piston fit this?. I ordered one set for my M26/427. When I took the sleeve off the .28 ofna the center intake port is split where as the me replacement mach .26 sleeve is not split. Awesome truck /Video. 👍

The fact that this is "vintage" really makes me old. I remember thinking it was out of this world when I was first getting into rcs. Never got into nitro myself. Also, that body blows all of the current rtr designs out of the water in my opinion.

Those Force. 26 engines kind of sucked stock, BUT, if you ported, polished, knife-edged the rod, lightened and turboed the crank, and put decent bearings in the engine, they WOKE up BIG time... 👌

Even with the 2 engines it won't keep up with the Traxxas Sludge....and definitely is not as durable as the Traxxas Sludge....

You should just sink that engine in a small container with nitro fuel overnight, next day all the sludge just washes out!
