I live completely off geid qnd use a variety of inverters the victron seems super nice but expensive. I just use a 110/220 split phase sungold power 4000 watt inverter and a 3000 watt all in one powmr. They are both 24 volt. I also have 3 12 volt inverters that are never used any longer but if needed they are their. I had stage 4 cancer and in remission now but it opened my eyes as to how important it is to have no monthly bills in case of sickness or worse. My wife and i needed to be able to survive comfortably no matter what life threw our way so this solar hobby became a way of life. Thankyou for the instructional videos qnd god bless

Ha, beautiful test run! Great minds (or perhaps I should say, Finnish minds) think alike - the first thing I did when I got my own battery system set up, was brewing a cup of coffee on an identical Moccamaster.

I am also building a similar system using Victron components; however, I've opted not to go with the all-in one Multiplus-II GX model, but I have picked a 5kVA Multiplus-II, along with a SmartSolar 250/60 and a Cerbo-GX unit. The thinking was that if any on the aforementioned units would fail, the rest would keep on working, while if I went with the all-in-one solution like you did, if there was something wrong with any of the components, the whole system would be down completely.

Dala, is it possible to add an inverter and battery bank like this after a solar inverter like the huawei sun2000's? That's because the huawei inverter compatibility is very restrictive and requires an additional backup module, which I don't see the point of.

Coffeemaker is cool, but I've always thought that a full-sized microwave should be the benchmark for battery-power-people... Or maybe an induction hob... Ours takes 3 kW on just *one* burner! Or a heat-pump water heater... since those are becoming more a part of energy efficient homes.
