Subject of my first real paper in college (the play, not the actor), but I knew of the actor from studying historical performances. It is my favorite of the author’s works.

@@William.D70 I hope you look up Paul Robeson. Singer, actor, football player, Phi Beta Kappa scholar with a law degree from Columbia Law School. He had a superb bass-baritone voice, and you’ll find some of his recordings here on UKposts.

@@robinhallett-yc3hw not the Big Bang Theory character, the contestant who won the 2013 Teen Tournament by responding to the last Final Jeopardy of the tournament with “Who is some guy in Normandy but I just won $75 000!” in spite of his win being by no means guaranteed

@masterdoge9877- Thanx for the clarification and I just realized that I mixed up (combined) Leonard's first name with Sheldon's last name on Big Bang. So, my bad, and as Roseanne Roseannadana used to say on SNL, "never mind". 😀

@@tbone3972 the contestant’s name was Leonard Cooper, and he won the 2013 Teen Tournament; he is also the only contestant ever to make it to a tournament finals, let alone win the tournament, despite losing his semifinal

To be honest I didn't remember what 'The Emperor Jones' was about or if it was a stage production so that was my first thought. Then I said to myself...'unless he played Othello'. Turned out to be my second thought. Great actor.

Long Nguyen is gonna be a very tough opponent in the champions wildcard tournament. It’s heartbreaking that the true daily doubles didn’t work out for Roy Camara.

I'm looking for this whole episode...doesn't anyone have Monday's Final 2nd Part Jeopardy? The NFL game was on instead of Jeopardy. Jeopardy comes on in Memphis at 3:30pm CST... I missed it.

As you are probably aware, they keep inviting the same players back, instead of giving a chance to more knowledgeable players. If that were not the case, the opportunity would indeed be great. @@yoduh99

If I were on the show and performed poorly over the first two rounds, I would see the FJ clue as a chance to redeem myself and not as an opportunity to make some senseless joke. But I guess different people have different approaches to things.@@masterdoge987

@@istvanfekete1961 Long was literally mathematically guaranteed to win - neither Rotimi nor Roy had enough money to catch up to Long’s Day 1 score. (Rotimi’s maximum possible two-day score was $2,000, Roy $15,200, while Long had accumulated $36,800 before the second day could even be played.) In that case, why not go for a “senseless joke”?
