Also make sure to end the note with "Oh my God, they're coming!! Help me!! He-" and splatter some of your blood on the end of the note instead of, you know, just getting out of there like some intelligent life form.

Meh. I prefer to split my lore into multiple notes with the last note on my body with the powerful item but I'll also make sure it's almost impossible for the player to find the notes in order while near-guaranteed they'll miss a note or two.

@@Shayne01or if it's a combination lock, use a number referencing something nearby, like a book, calendar, wall writing, or number of objects. It should be easy enough for anyone to solve who spends more than a minute at the location, and be sure to have the solution involve something that is easily disturbed, or removed.

My favorite notes/signs are the ones that are like "My food supply has dwindled and my water is contaminated. I can hear the zombies gnawing at my door with an increasing lust for my flesh. Oh no, they've broken in. They're now walking toward me. Only a few moments before they reach my position. I really should get go..." and it just cuts off. Like, guy, you should have left 3 days ago. Not as they're tickling your toes.

I found this stupid note in the comments section of a kind of funny UKposts video. I read it and printed it along with my response and blew my nose in it, damn allergies, but I left a part of the paper clean in case the next guy who finds this also need to blow his nose. Ps. Never tell people you've been bitten, you might be the first one not to get sick from it, though since the odds are so low your friends and/or family are better off not knowing, it would totally ruin their day and if it gets bad you can always lock yourself up in the attic, barn, garage or basement and break all the lights.

This video made me realize I'm unintentionally falling into horror/survival media tropes. Last year I bought an old typewriter and after some repairs I started writing a daily diary with it.... I can only guess scavengers are going to one day find my skeleton hunched over that darn thing, and the final pages are going to be blood stained notes recounting my final days as I slowly descend into madness. Of course one of the pages is going to contain the pin number to my gun safe, I'll make sure to conveniently splatter blood on one of the numbers so you'll still need to do some guess work.

I'm going to leave pre-recorded messages around, but on, like, each one gets it's own different tape player. I'm gonna buy like 10 tape players, record messages, and just scatter them around my apartment complex just incase an apocalypse scenario happens. I hope people find the tape players in order, because you need to listen to them in order otherwise it won't make any sense. I'm not gonna label the tapes or anything though, you're just gonna have to hit play and see what happens.
