Caleb Plant took on Adasat Rodriguez on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 on PBC on FS1.
In the early rounds Rodriguez is unable to connect with Plant. They both come out strong in Round 1 but Rodriguez cannot seem to avoid Plant's contact. By Round 2 Plant appears to be a little more confident moving in the ring with his hands down as if he is putting on a show. Plant lands a left hook that knocks out the mouthpiece of Rodriguez. Not holding back with jabs to the body Plant continues to come forward in Round 3.
Midpoint of the fight Rodriguez attempts to hurt Plant. Rodriguez gets Plant with a nice left hook but Plant reacts with head and body shots. A solid amount of exchanges came in Rounds 4 and 5 but Plant keeps Rodriguez up against the ropes.
Continuing to come forward Plant lands more jabs and delivers combinations to Rodriguez's head. Rodriguez attempts to fire back but Plant avoids almost everything with his slick movement. Plant nails Rodriguez in Round 6 and knocks out his mouthpiece for a second time. Plant continues to showboat in the ring as he recognizes his opponent cannot connect. Plant decides to impress Rodriguez with a giant left hook sending Rodriguez into the ropes. Plant comes forward and unloads resulting in the referee to call off the fight.
Caleb Plants wins by TKO in the sixth round against Adasat Rodriguez and remains undefeated.
