Redheads are everywhere in the U.S. (of course in sporadic places) but most people don't think too much of the color (except they think every redhead they encounter is Irish :/ ). I'm a redheaded Colombian (strawberry blonde) and personally I don't think the color is as appealing.

Statistics are against them, thats all. They are the rarest fenotype, it means there are very few gingers to begin with. Then theres the cultural opsesion with clear skin, gigner fenotype is commonly followed with freckles, some have more some less, different colours etc. Not to mention that before proper medicine, ''spots on skin'' were an alarm trigger for disease. And then now, when you subtract the aholes, and people who you generaly wont like, or find unattractive from an already small sample, you end up with very few gingers you will ever meet, let alone like.
