I think that is where in the true answer lies. He was afraid and terrified at the thought of ghosts at the start. At the end he became more like Shane.... Shane being the one who doesn't believe in ghosts.... That was the genius of this show.

nearly a year later, im still in awe over the outro ryan wrote for this episode. it's incredibly touching and thoughtful, and to me it sums up my feelings on why it's worth thinking and talking about these things to begin with. there is a glory to the unexplained, a shine that would be lost if they were understood. maybe it's the stories the questions let us tell.

Incase no one checked, a Black dog running across your path can be a omen for death, amongst other things. Resembling a nocturnal creation. When the dog crossed in the begining, it was almost dusk and Shane and Ryan are going to a "demon" house. Just connections I made. LOVE YOUR CONTENT.

A part of me was getting emotional listening to the lady ask if they’d seen any ghosts and that person who said they liked to dance. Just made me think about death and how it’s sad they don’t get to experience simple things like that anymore. And that woman sounded like she was genuinely curious and having a good time watching them A part of me wondered if the person saying “it’s dangerous” when Ryan was in the basement was trying to warn him/keep him safe

Tbh, Shane seemed legitimately scared in this one. I know he has his own stance and typically leans more towards the side of disbelief, but I wonder what he was hearing when he went in there on his own in particular as well because he did seem pretty creeped out when he was doing the outside interview when Ryan was having his solo turn

I grew up loving Ghost Adventures and being terrified of spirits and demons, but now, after watching the entire Unsolved Series, I realize that ghosts and demons (if they're real, I really don't know anymore) only have as much power over you as you give them. I'm very thankful to the Ghoul Boys for showing me that there is nothing hiding in the darkness to be afraid of (also for giving me mountains of one liners to over quote every single day).😂

This was the greatest, most clever thing Buzzfeed has ever produced. Maybe the ONLY good thing to ever come out of Buzzfeed, but regardless has become the only ghost hunting show I've really liked. They used a lot of the same goofy methods as other phonier shows, but you can tell they never intentionally faked anything and the contrast of Ryan's belief and Shane's complete lack of enthusiasm for it is PERFECT. The only ghost hunting show where sometimes (most of the time) they might find nothing at all, and yet its still hilarious. Love it. Somehow Buzzfeed made the most honest, realistic ghost hunting show and it blows my mind.

I spent a lot of time in the Sallie House in the middle of the night with a ghost hunting crew. Really peaceful place. Not a single spooky thing about it. (Except there was a weird hole in the wall in the basement to a different place with dirt floors and walls. Weird looking, but nothing happened there either. I don’t know if it’s still there. This was 18 years ago.)
