When he announced that he's withdrawing from Olympics, he mentioned that he sustained an injury during the grass season. He'd never talk about it during the tournament, but he still managed to make to the QFs with the injury and with little practice. Tennis will never be the same when he retires..

@@edwardhill6362 Nadal's only the best on clay, but quite good on the others. He has won on the grass and hard quite a few times. Just his footwork and his amazing shotmaking ability blend so perfectly with the red clay (his topspin is unparralled on the clay). Federer would have been the world's best clay player in his prime if it wasn't for Nadal. Djokovic is just superhuman how dominant he has been in his older age. It shouldn't be this way. The NextGen needs to step it up.

Roger will remain for me the best player ever. Djokovic is good yeah, but has another style, he’s a good athlete and has a incredible control of his mind and emotions in stressful situations. But he’s no Roger, nobody will he. Roger has grace, intelligence, he’s an artist. For me that’s true tennis.

It's just such a bummer that someone like Federer who floats on the court and loads his knees little is the one needing two surgeries in each knee. Well. He lost in the second round of 2013 Wimbledon. This is not that bad is it? Yep. This great choker beat prime Djokovic in 2011 Roland Garros and 2012 Wimbledon. And Nadal in 2017 Australian Open and 2019 Wimbledon. Wow. What a choker. Winning year end titles beating prime Nadal in 2010 and in Djokovic's year in 2011. The only man to beat Djokovic 3 times in 2015 and the oldest man to ever beat Djokovic in 2019 ATP Finals to dump him out of the competition at 38.

Federer beat Djocovid in H2H until 2013. The main reasons for Djoko's dominance are the age difference and the slowing down of the courts.

@@Federistablue I don't make excuses. Age or otherwise. Federer was year end world no.3 in 2019.And stop always comparing him to Djokovic and Nadal. Federer is the 4th best clay court player in history. Yep. 5 Roland Garros finals, 8 semi finals and 16 clay masters 1000 finals. 21 major clay court finals. Winning 7 of them including beating prime Nadal in 2007 Hamburg final and 2009 Madrid final. And having match points against Nadal in 2006 Rome final in a 5 set match. And beating prime Djokovic in 2011 Roland Garros. All on clay. Like I said on a slow court Federer won 7 major titles and lost 11 major finals to Nadal(I didn't even count 2005 RG semi final vs Nadal). Like I said the guy is the 4th best slow court player in history. And in another major clay court final Federer ran into prime Djokovic in 2015 Rome. After hammering prime Wawrinka. People nowadays seem to disregard Federer's claycourt/slow court pedigree. Recently Fed had match points against Dominic Thiem in 2019 Madrid Quarterfinal. (Yep. That Dominic Thiem). And the guy hadn't played on clay in years mainly because of Nadal in 2017 and 2018.
