You have my sympathy. I’m shocked that the successful-in-other-areas-of-life boosters, do not see a pattern here - that THEY are THE problem.

Boosters, not the Problem, when you can't requite, can't pick the right QB, and you run off the Production Plays to other schools. That's not the Boosters.

The boosters wanted a coach they could push around that's why they fought against an established name and instead got Harsin, a guy who was barely adequate in a second tier, should play in the FCS school. In the SEC he has no idea how to recruit, how to play call or motivate players. If he lasts the season I'll be stunned. With players now able to monetize their own names the era of needing boosters to slip players money under the table is over. Auburn needs to get control of its program and that starts with hiring an independent coach. But maybe wait till after the Iron Bowl.

We'll never know how good he could have been because he can't just show up and coach his team. He has to deal with the boosters' BS. You can rest assured that everyone else sees what's going on and no decent coach will even interview for the job, much less entertain being a booster puppet.

@@choccolocco I don’t think he’s a bad coach. I think he’s a bad fit for the conference and for the school. He should have addressed offensive line this recruiting cycle, and didn’t. That’s not on the boosters, that’s on the staff.

I can’t speak to his coaching abilities, haven’t seen enough, but the boosters and rabid fans were wanting him gone the first game he lost, and they tried to run him off. Now, they lose, and it’s all his fault… That is auburn in a nutshell. They think they should win every game, and when they don’t, the boosters start messing with the program. That’s what they’ve always done. Alabama did it too, for a long time, and saban sorta put a stop to it…but they’re still there, biting their tongues..

The boosters play a big part in the program, but the coaching staff didn’t address needs in a year and a half. That is on them.

You know that Auburn is literally the bottom dweller of the SEC West, right? It’d be embarrassing if a ranked team - any ranked team - didn’t beat them by several scores.

The fact that the B10 is taking pride in one of its best teams beating an SEC bottom dweller is far more reflective of the B10 than the SEC lol If only we had some recent match-ups between evenly ranked teams, like UGA v. UMich or Bama v. OSU. That'd be far more insightful, no?

Yeah biggest thing is though Gus left that program in rough shape wasn’t developing offensive lineman like he should. After seeing 11 tackles for loss at home this past Saturday and them not being able to pick up a blitz I’m convinced we would have better luck putting paper plates and plastic cutlery out there to block
