Notice that Destin was putting some emphasis on Shang-Chi's jacket being reversible? When he and Katy went to Macau, I didn't realize he was wearing the same jacket he wore on the bus, only it was reversed showing the Yellow/Blue inlay. I think Destin was pointing this out to show that the jacket somehow represented Shaun's secret identity being hidden all this time. But when the bus fight scene happened, Shang-Chi's true self was coming out, and his jacket was also showing its reverse side when he used it to fend off the goons. And after he revealed and confessed to Katy who he really was on the plane, Shang-Chi started wearing the jacket's reverse side. If this was what Destin was trying to convey, that's a really cool touch that I never realized while watching the movie. Or maybe Shaun just hadn't had enough money to buy another jacket so he went for a reversible one, so . . . . (surge)

This scene was truly amazing, but the fight on the scaffolding really gave me goosebumps. I couldn’t imagine being KT in that moment holding on for dear life while people are tumbling all around me and I’m the only one without that incredible fighting skill. Like a kitten in a tree.

As someone who loves my bomber jackets, that fight part using the jacket was bloody awesome. I mean, the whole scene is brilliant of course, but just wasn’t expecting him to use it in the fight. Great movie! So proud of everyone involved in making this a Marvel masterpiece.

Thank you for talking us through all that. Very inspiring as a film maker to watch you explain so thoroughly. Seeing how the basics of storytelling like character beats, story arc and expectation subversion can have a place even in a gigantic complicated blockbuster.

I would literally watch something like this as a legitimate show. It's fascinating the minute details that are created for frames. Our brain's pick these changes up and emotions fire first as you get to stay in the movie universe.

As a non-fan of origin movie, I gotta say that this is one of the best and entertaining origin movie that I can follow. As the story progress, it doesn't really feel like a typical MCU movie which is very refreshing after the MCU burnout.
