Shark Fishing and Processing of Shark products - Shark meat, skin, and fins processing in factory. Shark finning is the act of removing fins from sharks and discarding the rest of the shark back into the ocean. Shark finning at sea enables fishing vessels to increase profitability and increase the number of sharks harvested. Many countries have banned this practice and require the whole shark to be brought back to port before removing the fins.

Excellent! Now I'm going to search for a video about how shark fin soup is made. Shark fins would not be an issue if they were not sometimes taken from live sharks which are then thrown back into the ocean totally disabled and doomed to die like that. I have heard that the shark skin is also processed to make some expensive leather.

The fin soup is really controversy because some countrys fishes the sharks illegally and they cut the fins off when the sharks still alive, and after that throw they in the ocean, so the sharks die with a lot of pain. In the video shows how to do it in the rigth way, and using everything from the shark. Thanks for another great video ☺️ as a student of fishing engineering it makes me really happy to see your videos about fishing and aquaculture ☺️

Breaks my heart to see these sharks butchered for their fins , I’m surprised they have found a use for more of the carcass at least 😔 harvesting while alive needs to be banned they are so important to the eco system they need to be protected !

I don't see where they were butchered just for the fins though. A lot of Asian countries, in particular, will eat almost all of the animal and some parts costing more. The fin for example due to the ancient Chinese remedies stating claims for a cureall.

Sedih sih ternyata indonesia jadi nomor 1 negara yang masih melegalkan penangkapan hiu. Padahal sebagian besar masyarakat indonesia jarang mengonsumsi hiu, lebih banyak buat kebutuhan ekspor. Dan lagi katanya daging hiu itu bau pesing dan siripnya juga yang di klaim buat pengobatan juga gak terbukti secara medis, tapi masih banyak aja peminatnya.

신선한 상어는 담백한 맛이 나지만, 숙성이 되면 상어는 암모니아 냄새가 짙어집니다. 상어와 비슷한 가오리도 숙성하면 암모니아가 생성되는것 같습니다.

У акулы нет мочевого пузыря и все мясо пропитано мочевиной. Для этого ее ферментирую, выдерживают несколько дней в тепле, мочевина уходит и акулу можно готовить. Пробовал много раз аулу, мне не нравится. Групер, луциан, снепер - супер Рыба.

Видел в Африке как готовят акул. Закапывают акулу на три дня в прибрежный песок, там она ферментируемая около 3 дней, потом достают и готовят. Не все акулы съедобные. Те что у берега - опасны для приготовления , так как едят коралловую рыбу а она часто ядовита. После ферментации можно готовить. Не ту акулу съел и все

I’ve never tried Shark meat but they say it’s rather good . I never thought I’d eat alligator tail either but once I ate it I found out it’s delicious and the meat is as white as snow. I’ve found out not to think some food is bad until you have first tried it.

Just because it's an animal not eaten in your country or area doesn't make it right to say they're horrible or other things. They're being hunted for meat and they try to make use of every part of the animal. Especially in the US how many people don't eat more than the standard cuts? Eating liver, intestines, heart, brain, eyes, etc of animals? They do that in a lot of countries so as not to waste and this video showed a lot of the animal utilization.

They say Shark meat is delicious I hadn’t ever tried it. They said Alligator tail was good and I never thought I’d eat any. But driving a Tractor Trailer I stopped on Interstate 10 in Louisiana at a Truck Stop /Seafood and Fresh Water Fish restaurant. I ordered a Captains Platter without reading the menu. Waitress said it was all kinds of fish & shrimp ect on it. I didn’t care I was hungry and was just devouring this one piece of really White looking meat I thought was fish. So I told the waitress this is delicious what is it ? She said that’s alligator tail. It Was too late to say I hated it, because my taste buds said it was the best cut of meat on the plate. So never knock something until you try it for yourself.

- Yeah I tried to watch this video && I stopped at 1:33 this is discusting. Don't get me wrong I eat shellfish .. however, I do not eat endangered species && a lot of the stuff I eat is farmed. These sharks NEED to stay in our oceans. They play a KEY ROLL 🔑 .. without them would cause mass extinction of countless sea creatures. Sharks are extremely important to our ecosystem and these people are desecrating them for profit. The movie “Shark Water” shows exactly this problem. They are often killed just for their fins (so-called “finning”) and the rest of the animal is often thrown over the board alive. The meat itself is often contaminated with heavy metals and is therefore often unusable. I like the channel but supporting such an industry is dishonorable.

Shark meat is not similar to tuna. It's like saying Turkey tastes like Chicken. Shark meat has a distinctive flavor, texture and aroma. You cannot confuse shark meat with any other fish unless you have no taste buds.
